It still loads them from Google Fonts and somehow it now needs 1-2 seconds to load the font.

In reply to: [GeneratePress] How to disable Google Fonts GDPRIt doesn’t work! If I select “Open Sans” from the System Fonts list, publish it, leave the customizer and then reopen it, the Google Fonts version is selected. webbkoll also shows me that q request to the Google server is sent.

In reply to: [GeneratePress] How to disable Google Fonts GDPRI added Open Sans as a system font (the tutorial was very good), but now the font loads super slowly. I downloaded all styles of the latin char set, because all styles we used in the Typgraphy List when I selected Open Sans under Google Fonts.
Do I have to reduce the styles? If yes, how can I know which ones I need?Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [GeneratePress] How to disable Google Fonts GDPRAre you planning to implement self hosting a font as a feature, considering that no one is allowed to load Google Fonts anymore (unless self hosted)?
The Google fonts dropdown menu is pretty much obsolete now and even dangerous. The situation is pretty clear now, because multiple people already got letters from attorneys.I heard there are some themes that make this process easier.

In reply to: [GeneratePress] How to disable Google Fonts GDPRWhat is “system stack”? Is this a font? If I use any system font, is Google Fonts completely disabled?

In reply to: [GeneratePress] How to disable Google Fonts GDPRIn case you wonder, there are already people getting letters from attorneys because they use Google Fonts.
As you can see, it’s not that simple
Mailchimp saves the whole form of a particular date in the GDPR fields, with all it’s texts and options. It’s necessary because you need to prove what the user gave consent to at this time.
Just adding a checkbox and not allowing to sign up if it’s unchecked, is not enough.Ok I try to explain it differently:
I could not set a checkbox there, let the user sign up, then set the checkbox there and say “the user wouldn’t be able to send a request without ticking the box”.
How can I prove that I did not do it? How can I prove what the user saw in the form at the time he signed up?But how can I prove what text the user saw at the time he checked this checkbox? This could have been everything.
How could I ever prove that the user saw this checkbox and wasn’t able to send the request without it being ticked?- This reply was modified 7 years, 11 months ago by flizzywp.

In reply to: [Download Monitor] GDPR complianceOk, I will keep that in mind next time.
Are there any instructions for how to apply this new feature or is it set up by default?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Download Monitor] GDPR complianceIs there a time-frame for this? Since GDPR is already in action.
So I don’t have to put any of this into my Privacy Policy?
