The problem is I am NOT tech Savvy.The process I am attempting with Chameleon is meant to have a facility for uploading Ones Headers and Footers directly into their System but it is BUST (And I do not think they know how to fix it) Hence all this Nonsense!!!

In reply to: Cannot Upload PhotographsThank You Andrew I had not really thought about that. I imagine that this may eventually be what I will have to do although the idea was originally to try and make money from the Blog not spend money on it!!
Living in Thailand and watching the Collapse of Sterling makes me loathe to commit to spending money. I think for the time being I will just manage without photographs.

In reply to: Cannot Upload PhotographsThanks for taking the trouble to reply. I appreciate your point and in fact it is probably a waste of your time (and any one else’s) offering help as the chances are I will not be capable of doing what you suggest!!
I love having my own Blog but am quite incapable of doing anything in the least bit complex on it. My point is I am pretty sure that their are many people like me on Word press who simply do not have the ability to maintain their site. And I imagine their are many more who have simply given up!!
I seem to remember a while back being asked to take a quick survey regarding where I went for help on Word press,So it seems someone must be interested!! well it would definitely not be any of the help pages and Articles as I find them unintelligible, my answer regarding where I go for help would have to be U-tube!!

In reply to: Cannot Upload PhotographsThank you for your help. I deactivated plugins this did not appear to be the problem, I think mine is the default theme. As for attempting the other procedures which you have suggested this is I feel quite beyond my capabilities, I shall do without Photographs until the theme is updated and then perhaps it will work properly.
You will deny this but for the average person Word press is not at all easy or straightforward to use. Hence my point about only having been able to get my Blog running due to the plethora of Videos on You Tube, had it not been for this I would long since have abandoned the project.
I would go so far as to say that what pertains on Word press is computer speak elitism, where the poor old user to whom the help pages appear as unintelligible Gobbledygook is left feeling completely inadequate, I would be interested to know how many people who may have had wonderful Ideas for a Blog simply give up for the reasons stated above!!

In reply to: Cannot Upload PhotographsIf you read what I wrote Esmi you will see that I was in fact referring to the written word!! There is no error message I Press the Add Media Button I am Taken to the Insert Media Page where non of the options does anything i.e. it does not work!!!

In reply to: Cannot upload yoast themeHi Rev Voodo I finally found a Theme “Suffusion” which tels me that it has been installed,but every time I log back in I am taken straight to 2010.Now I have not changed anything and perhaps I have to make some changes in the Control Panel before Suffusion becomes my default theme!! Any how I have been at this for most of the Day so will leave it alone for the time being.

In reply to: Cannot upload yoast themeHi Rev Voodoo.regarding my having registered twice.I registered HERE on WordPress.Org about 7 or 8 days ago!! When the Chap at Hostgator asked if I would like him to install WordPress for me (As I was stuck) I jumped at the opportunity so now I have two different Usernames!! When I put in my website details I am taken straight to I,think 2010 which I presume is a default Theme.I have no idea if the fact that I am in the Database with two different Usernames will make things complicated.I have changed both passwords to be the same, althouugh I am now thinking this could complicate things further!! And as you are aware Usernames cannot be changed.
Regarding uploading the Theme Yoast to my site I am going to have another go Today,and if I cannot I might just ask Hostgator if they can help!! Regardless of the above thank you for taking the time to help me.

In reply to: Can't install a theme onto my wordpress siteI am trying to upload the yoast theme onto a blog which a very clever chap at hostgator set up for me in about 60 seconds (I hsd been trying for s Week!! I am rather afraid I have little comprehension of the way all of this marvellous STUFF works and I am rather too old to be interested in learning I JUST WANT TO WRITE MY BLOG!!!!!
Now the Guy at hostgator got me started with a New Password and username.but as I regsitered at WordPress last Week I must now be in there twice!! Is this going to cause me a problem!! Back to my original point Can anyone give me an easy and straigt forward way to upload this Theme!!In the instructions on Yoast One is told to go to various directories,when one types in the name One is taken somewhere else entirely!! I am afraid you either get this stuff or you do NOT I am very much afraid that I belong to the latter group,who miss Steam Trains.Fountain Pens and polite Children!!!
