That’s pretty much all you need to do, add the API Key in the setting section and start adding your feeds in the feed section, make sure to set your cron frequency as you wish and hit the save button… and wait to see the magic. 🙂

Drop us an email (reply to an of the emails you receive from our team with any request)

That’s unfortunate ITBTS and I’m sorry for the inconvenience, I have no idea of what is happening in your system, If you have other posts in you system, I suspect they are more recent than the new imported posts (the plugin uses the original post date) and are inserted in your blog but not in the front page, the best way to find them would be to do a search in your blog using the name you gave the feed when adding it. Try that out and it should show you the posts, otherwise, check to make sure that your posts status is set to publish, in the plugin and on your blog.

    Hello Ceejay,

Thank you very much for upgrading to the premium version, did you receive the welcome email ? The License key in the welcome email is all you need to enable the premium feature, there’s no extra download or different premium version, it’s the same plugin, but the licence will unlock all the great premium features and help you take your blog to the next step, that’s all. Hope this could help, otherwise, simply drop us an email at kerstin@feedsapi.com .

    Hi Redhaksupport,

The first issue is a workflow we’ve implemented for protection against duplicated posts and the plugin re-importing post people REALLY want to delete, so it’s perse not a bug but a bad design at our end, we’re still trying to figure out the best way to achieve this and allow people to re-import deleted posts if they wish to.

Regarding the second issue with the ad, this shouldn’t happen with known ads platforms, we may however run into native or custom ads, and our algorithm needs to be tweaked in this case, so yes. There’s a fix for that, we simply need to tell our algorithm that the first image on that source is an AD, would you please send me the rss source feed url ? I will see what we can do.

Ok, looks like everything is clear and I can close this one now, feel free to reach out if you have any other open question or suggestion about this.

    Andrea,

Thank you very much for your suggestion. Saw your post and love it, will recommend it to a couple of our users and drop you an email. Adding this option will clutter the plugin UI, what you are looking for is this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/bulk-delete/ (not affiliate with them) , I’m using it on my test server and it works great so far.

    Mr. Pugster,

Thank you very much for your kind words, looks like our well kept secret on our robust duplicate post protection is out now, lol. On a more serious note, thanks a bunch for writing this down, as a nerd, I may consider a couple of things to be self-explaining and straightforward with my nerd-eye (if someone tells me to check my database…I will probably check it differently than a non-technical person) , these things may however not be as easy to figure out as I think so, I think I should apologize to minnmark , sorry mate ! on the other hand , I still don’t like that 1-star review you left but in all fairness, not everyone want to fiddle with DB rows… but sometimes, you have to what you need to do to make things work, nothing is perfect.

Anyway, the good news is, we are working on this, it turns out, our duplicate post logic is just too good and too robust 🙂 … so if you have a suggestion for a more user friendly protection for this without cluttering the UI, I’m more than open to suggestions, you can either drop a line to the suggestion/brainstorming thread, here or via email at nerd@feedsapi.com .

@mrpugster , Meanwhile, I’ve pinned this thread for folks to use your suggestion to solve this. Like I said, I’m looking for a simpler, more user friendly way to do this, the easiest one would be to add an option to reset the duplicate posts security, but this will make the plugin re-import posts you may not want to keep, we already had this in the past, I’ll keep experimenting .

PS: So folks, if you are having this issue for now, this is how to solve it, if you don’t like the idea of checking your DB tables, you can either wait for us to release a simpler solution to reverse post deletion or hire a freelancer for a small fee to help you do this, not the best solution but it’s what I can offer for now, thanks again for using and recommending our plugin

Sure thing, we will keep improving our business model as well making sure to find the perfect balance between the premium features and the non-premium features. Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts.

Thanks a bunch for reaching out!

What we do have for taxonomy is grouping in categories and in tags (both single and multiple selection), we don’t yet support custom taxonomy or other taxonomy options but I would love to hear what you are thinking about or would love to see added? 🙂

    Oh well, No.

What I’mI’m saying is, if your excerpt have no images from scratch, you will need to make sure they have images, the plugin needs to see an image tk be able to feature it, a way to do that would be to expand the feed and if you want the plugin to do this processing, you will need a premium key. You can use the plugin without a key also, so it’sit’s just about what you want to achieve.

This being said, I think $19/month for something providing this value , saving you several hours per Day IS insanely, insanely cheap, but of course, my opinion could be biased since I’m the author. 🙂 Thanks

Thank you very much for upgrading and for reaching out, the API comes with the welcome email but I also send it in reply to your support email, we will make it clearer in our welcome message that it’s the API Key, 🙂

PS: Thanks again for being a premium user and for your support, you make this hard work worthwhile, 🙂

If your articles only come in with title and excerpt, then the plugin ddoesn’t even see the image, since they are not delivered with the post, so you have two options:

1- Make sure the posts coming in have the full post content with images inside.

2- Upgrade to the premium version to do this and if you only need the truncated excerpt with featured image, the premium version comes with an option to truncate the post, you can even decide how many words you’dyou’d like it to have. The premium upgrade is however not free.

    Hi Maximmmus,

Thank you very much for reaching out, No, the plugin does not have a widget at this point in time.

If your template needs widget to display featured images, you might need to customize it for it to support featured images out of the box. Some templates need you to enable the featured image widget, and what generally happen in this case with the plugin is, it shows the featured image but the featured image is trapped in the widget of the template and you need to tweak this manually, it’s something you can fix mainly by tweaking or changing your template.
