Hey @isf_crew You can change the built-in “interval” by altering the value in the rss_pi_cron_add method of the rssPIAdmin class (/app/classes/admin/class-rss-pi-admin.php)

Alternatively, you can use a tool/plugin like the WP Crontrol ( https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-crontrol/ ) to add new schedule interval to choose from.

    Hope this helps.

@kirksfp , thank you very much for reaching. I’m afraid I don’t know what you’re doing wrong, I can only speculate: Do you have any entries in the Keyword/regex filter area ?

PS: I have this on a clients site: Are you a premium user ? if yes, drop me an email

@lamberbee , thank you very much for reaching out and I’m sorry for the delay of my follow up here. the permalink displays the anchor linked to the original source link. That’s how it works in the meantime.

    Thanks,

@ivan , thank you very much for reaching out, I’m afraid I didn’t get that. Please elaborate.

Oh ok, got it. Do you have a premium account ? If yes, please reach out via email by replying to the email you got while upgrading.

You can turn this off in the content but if you are getting the same image fetched two times locally, We have an option to create a featured image on posts, simply turn this off: I suspect the issue you’re having to be related to that, means you might feel like the first image of the feed is double, this is because one of the image is the one used as featured image in the content.

    Thanks,

@dwheeler , thanks for the head up, that’s awesome. We’ve been experimenting with this in the RC of the 2.1.2 version and have strongly improved the stats, please test the new approach on the 2.1.2 and let me know what you think and if you’re still having the issue. One of the approach we’ve been considering is to cache the charts after fetching them….but like I said, still experimenting and will keep improving this feature.

@isf_crew , Thank you for reaching out. It’s a great suggestion and an idea we’ve been playing with for a while and it’s on our roadmap, we’re still reviewing it at may add it at some point if many people ask for this.

Ok got it now, yes. Simply create a category or a tag with the name of your source and associate it with that source, you should be good.

If you have a premium account, you should even be able to associate multiple categories/tags to 1 source… the free version will however only let you associate 1 category/tag to a source, I hope this helps. Thanks

    Hey Turgun,

Sorry to hear that, I unfortunately can not reproduce this issue at my end. But generally, a 500 internal error is a server issue, and if this is happening by only activating the plugin and not running it, you should drop a note to your hosting company to let them know, if this is however happing when you try to import feeds and assuming you have a lot of feeds, this probably means your server host is not powerful enougth to handle the fetching (which normally doesn’t request a lot of ressources ), so in this case, you might start shopping around for a new hosting company…. BUT, this is just speculation since I don’t know exactly why you’re getting that error, I can see your server logs and can’t reproduce the issue here, I hope this helps.

Thanks a bunch for reaching out.

    Maximmmus,

Thank you very much for reaching out. Sorry, didn’t fully got the question, would you please elaborate ?

    Thanks,

PS: You can manually create feeds names and associate as many feeds as you wish to those feeds names, but I doubt that’s what you mean!? :-/

    Hey Ryter,

Thank you very much for reaching out, the answer to your question is: YES …. 🙂 , you will need to set this in this section of the plugin: https://www.evernote.com/shard/s268/sh/3ce24ed0-707b-40ff-b7fd-c1445d229132/253719114f936e31edfa57ca25df8fe1 , here’s a video tutorial explaining what the parameters all stand for: https://vimeo.com/113796278

Now, the only missing parameter in your description is the featured image, it’s normally automatically inserted in the post in the backend and at the top of the post/place reserved for featured image in the post, looking at your sample site, it looks cool and sounds like a good idea, so I’ve added this to our roadmap and we will be implementing a featured image parameter option soon, stay tuned. Meanwhile, you can get all the rest by playing with teh other parameters, it’s a one time setup for all your content and the learn curve is almost fully flat, 🙂 .

    Hi Kevin,

Thanks again for reaching out, I’m just circling back here to close the ticket since I’m already on this via email, the new issue that appeared after editing the feeds is getting investigated, it might be a small bug we oversaw, looking into that.

For the rest, NO, you don’t need to do this manually, the next release version will let you upload all your feeds+settings as csv , this is however a premium feature that you don’t see in this version if you’re not a premium user, the next version of the plugin (under test) will have all the bells and whistle + OPML Import/Export is also planned…so stay tuned.

Thank you very much for reaching out Wollepelz,

Actually not, but I will do some tests again, keep in mind that the XX in {excerpt:XX} stands for the number of words to pull for the excerpt… but like I said, I’ll do a short test and see how it goes, the last test I did was all fine, not yet sure with the latest release of WP.

Thank you very much for reaching out Ivan, this happen in this version of the plugin with some themes due to the featured image, the first image in the post is the featured image while the second image in the post (which is identical to the first) is the content image, the plugin however uses the original first image as Featured image, the new version has a fix for this, you could drop me a note for me to send you the version, it’s under intense test before official release (soon) , it comes with several improvements.

    Cheers,
