In reply to: $1.95 / month hosting doesn’t really exist???Just found the problem. This is happening because of cookies stored in your browser. I’m also using Firefox and got the same problem.
Just follow the following steps to solve the issue and get the $1.95 per month special promotional price:
1. On your Firefox web browser, Go to Tools -> Options -> Privacy -> Show Cookies
2. There you will see the list of cookies stored in your browser.
3. In that list search for “DreamHost” and delete all those cookies which are named as “DreamHost”.
4. Go to “wordpress.org/hosting/” and click on the DreamHost image which shows $1.95 per month.
5. Now you will see the $1.95 per month price.
I hope the above steps will help everyone in getting the $1.95 special promotional price of DreamHost offered by WordPress.

In reply to: $1.95 / month hosting doesn’t really exist???@neotrope Thanks… I think WordPress has just updated their website and now that link is working fine. 🙂
@esmi: Thanks for reply. Yes, I’ve seen lots of thread about hosting in the forum but most of them are old. That’s why I’ve started this thread.
@jabzebedwa Thanks for reply. I also liked DreamHost because I’ve seen the 50$ discount coupon code, but when I go to their website to check the online support then I found that I must need to be registered on their website to use online support and the only option available is to email them.
@bh_wp_fan Thanks for reply. Yes you’re right, nobody is perfect. Thanks for your recommendation, and my friends has also recommended me to go for BlueHost. But before buying any host, I want to know the experience of users. As I’ve mentioned above that currently I’m using ThePlanet’s hosting and the downtime of my website is about 30-40 minutes daily which effects my ranking.

Okay, but I don’t know how to create php.ini file, can you tell me how can I create one?
On the above provided link I’ve seen the following solution:
“If you have access to your PHP.ini file, change the line in PHP.ini
If your line shows 16M try 32M:
memory_limit = 32M ; Maximum amount of memory a script may consume (32MB)”So, I do have access to PHP.ini file but there is no PHP.ini file created.
Can you tell me what can I do now?
