Ok, I was able to change my hosting and now I have the plugins, etc.
Just one more question (for now anyway). If I never wrote anything on my original blog site from wordpress.com, do I need to export my blog or can I start anew and just add a blog page to my new site?

I tried the instructions you gave me but every time I do this, it comes up with This does not match any of the DNS record formats.
I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. The instructions seem pretty clear cut. Also, once I fix this, how do I export my wordpress.com site to dream host.

In reply to: No plugins available on my dashboardYes, I think it is. That’s how it started out. I first installed wordpress several months ago then signed up with dreamhost after but I don’t think I linked the together. I’m not sure if I have to do that or how.
