In reply to: [Super Page Cache] Nginx Settings for WP Cloudflare Super Page CacheAh, I have migrated the website from a Nginx/Apache where I used htaccess to just Nginx so I guess that is why I didn’t see anything.

In reply to: Plugin Updates Fail with error message but are Actually SuccessfulThanks, I’ve skimmed through the ticket. My knowledge about how WordPress works at the code level when dealing with plugin updates/installs at is minimal.
Would you be able to add to the ticket about my issue and why it is maybe related? Over the last 5 days I’ve seen a number of similar tickets to mine pop up.
Obviously something has happened which caused my issue which has possibly corrupted something and preventing the update process with licenses to fail at some level.
I have other websites with a similar stack which update just fine.
What I am worried about is they “fix the issue” but don’t fix any possible corruption caused from the issue thereby my site not being fixed once the “fix” has been released.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Plugin Updates Fail with error message but are Actually SuccessfulBTW I think this problem has been happening around the time I updated to WordPress 6.5.2 but can’t say for sure that is the cause.
I also just installed an older plugin that requires a license key. I activated it and then updated it and the same problem happened.
So based on this and the fact that a plugin without a license key updated okay my current theory is that the issue only happens with plugins that have license keys. Could this be related to some sort of salt issue?Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Plugin Updates Fail with error message but are Actually SuccessfulI’ve now created a copy/clone of the website on a new server (under a sub domain) so I can better run tests to figure this out.
The problem still exists on the new server. I now also have tried without success to fix the problem:- Deactivated most plugins including WordFence
- Reinstall WordPress 6.5.2

In reply to: Plugin Updates Fail with error message but are Actually SuccessfulI forgot to mention that there is also a translations update issue which throws a similar error:
Download failed. Not FoundThe translations do not appear to get updated and the “New translations are available.” and the update button always appears on the WordPress Updates page.

In reply to: Plugin Updates Fail with error message but are Actually SuccessfulI downloaded an older version of Akismet and then installed it and updated it. That worked fine, I got no error message.
The plugins I have updated with this issue have been from several different developers and have license keys (they are paid plugins). I am wondering if this is part of the issue?
For some plugins I have deactivated and reactivated the license key and then performed the update and got the same error message.
Hopefully someone has an idea on how to fix this…I am having the same issue except my error message is a little shorter:
“Update Failed: Download failed. Not Found.”With the last 4 plugins I have updated I have gotten the message. It’s only 1 site on the server though. All the other sites are fine.

In reply to: Plug-in update failedI am having the same issue on one of my sites.
I update a plugin (I’ve tried 3 so far) and I get the error message
update failed: download failed. not found
The plugin does update though. If I refresh the page it shows it at the new version. Please implement this feature soon. I have asked Customer Support for this feature for 2 years now and we are still waiting.
This is one of the main purpose of a backup plugin to protect the site from an update that goes wrong so the site can be restore. Currently this is not possible via MainWP when using WPvivid.
Currently we have to go to each site individually and run updates to ensure a backup is run first.
This feature needs to be added now!Other features that would be handy include:
- Enforce strong passwords
- Force admins and publishers to use strong passwords
- Don’t let WordPress reveal valid users in login errors
- Prevent users registering ‘admin’ username if it doesn’t exist
Thanks for the response.
Would be better if it was customizable.
Where can I download the official child theme for Hello?
I just had the same issue and updating the permissions using the app user. It didn’t work even when I saved the Breeze Settings afterwards.
What did work is I had to enable the Cache System in the Breeze Settings (I had it disabled as it is a website currently in development) and hit save. That got rid of the error.
I then disabled the Cache System and saved and everything was still fine.

In reply to: [HappyFiles - WordPress Media Folders & File Manager] Plugin closed??That is a very misleading message by WordPress.
The plugin is not closed, you just cannot download it on WordPress.org.
The plugin is still being actively developed and you can find it over on their website at:
