Thank you so much – exactly the precise instruction I needed 🙂Thank you WPyogi. I read the linked page – but for me as an amateur non-coder the solutions are too difficult.
To all other: I “solved” the problem by downgrading to WP 3.4.1.
You can download the zipped files for the old version and then use an FTP-program to do like here described:

I followed your interestering discussions in this thread that I started. For me – being only a skilled WP user/developer with limited selfmade php coding skills – the most was hard to understand. That’s why I support the last suggestion: Hopefully someday somebody can bridge Events Manager and Subscribe2 with a standalone plugin. Thanks for contributing to the issue.

It worked with your last suggestion.
But I’m now a bit suspicious towards this Codestyling Localization plugin – will do it the usual way, with PoEdit and FTP.The message appears in the plugin “Codestyling localization” when I open the Events Manager to translate.
The plugin work fine for every other plugin on the site.
The strange thing is that also if I use Poedit and ftp to translate in the db-em language file – many of the translations don’t show up.
Look for example on the left sidebar on the present site http://ishojvolley.dk and on the site under construction on http://ishojvolley.dk/2
It’s not possible to translate the Weekdays to Danish on the coming site.I have de-activated everything, and it didn’t help.
Are you sure there isn’t something wrong with the language-files following the latest EM-update?
Before I had not such a problem and it’s only concerning EM.Best regards

But meanwhile the translation only work on the one site and not at the other of the two where I’m developing a new site – with ecactly the same .po and .mo files.
I installed plugin “Codestyling localization” and it says the following:

It seems, that there is code contained extracted out of other plugins, themes or widgets and used by copy & paste inside some source files.
The affected unknown textdomains are:

I just realized that when I added the above code in the functions.php-file it sends out only the event, not the new post. While we are waiting for at better plugin, do you have a good advice to get the subscribe2 to pick BOTH a new Event AND a nem post for the list to be send out?
Thank you. But I tried a lot of ways. When I insert this command, I can influence the small calender but not the big one.
Any ideas?Spent a lot of time again. Without succes. I simply can’t understand what is going wrong – the large calendar is useless if you can’t step forward to the next Month.

to restrict the width of the page?
How ?Although there is a problem: For a normal post I have the possibility to uncheck that news are sent out for this post.
I miss this possibility for the event – that I can shoose NOT to create news for posting an event.
Do you have any suggestions?
