It turned out that for some reason, my FTP client (Filezilla) had switched the Transfer mode from ‘Auto’ to ‘ASCII’ (not sure how that one happened). Once I restored it to ‘Auto’ and re-uploaded everything, the problem went away.

In reply to: Visual/HTML tabs not workingThat was not a real URL – I replaced the actual domain with the word mydomain. I was just showing the scope of the problem. For some reason, graphics files aren’t showing.

In reply to: Visual/HTML tabs not workingSorry, this did not help. I did a completely clean install yet again, new MySQL database, the works. What I’m seeing is something I haven’t seen in any other version of WordPress, and I have several websites using it. And it gets odder – I can’t see, for example, this file:

Can’t even see it as a local file on my disk.

The feed I most want to include validates.
No other feed I try to use, including the ones mentioned in the posts above, seem to work.
I am running the latest version of WordPress (3.0.1) on a shared server. I’m using the default Twenty Ten theme. I’m certain this is a WordPress problem and will post a bug report now.
