Thanks @thewpdude. We appreciate the review!
Cheers,
EricThanks so much for the kind review Rachel!
Hi Brenda,
Yes, you can do this with Charitable and our extensions. I wrote a blog post recently that describes how you might do this with Charitable and our Ambassadors, Stripe and Stripe Connect extensions: https://www.wpcharitable.com/create-a-fundraising-platform-with-wordpress/
Cheers,
EricDid you have Charitable set up to delete data on deactivation? This is set under Charitable > Settings > Advanced. By default, we keep that setting off, which means that you can safely deactivate/activate Charitable without losing any data.
If you have lost all your campaign and donations data, then I’m afraid it sounds like you might have had that option enabled.
Did you make any database backup before deactivating Charitable? Or does your web host have an automatic backup system?
Cheers,
EricI’m afraid we don’t provide anything out of the box. However, if you create a custom category/tag template, you can use the
charitable_template_campaign_loop( false, 3 );function to display a grid of campaigns. For an example, see how we set up the archives in the Reach theme: https://github.com/Charitable/Reach/blob/master/archive-campaign.phpCheers,
EricHi molliem,
Right now, the only way to manually add donations is through the Offline payment gateway. So to add this donation, go to Charitable > Settings > Payment Gateways and temporarily enable the Offline donation gateway.
After doing that, go to your website and create a donation for the amount, choosing the offline payment option.
Once you have made the donation, you can turn off the Offline gateway if you don’t want to use it, and you can go to Charitable > Donations to mark the donation as Paid (by default, offline donations are considered “Pending” until they are confirmed as paid).

EricHi kaptajnnic,
You can create a campaign by going to Charitable > Add Campaign in the WordPress dashboard. After you publish the campaign, you can click the link to see it on the frontend.
Is that what you’re looking for or are you trying to achieve something different?
Cheers,
EricI’m afraid we don’t have anything that supports that at the moment.

EricHi ahmedalmulki,
You can support credit card donations by using either our Stripe or Authorize.Net extensions.

EricHi kelvinpai,
I’m afraid we don’t currently offer any support for PayPal Express Checkout.
Cheers,
EricI received your email and have followed up with you there.

EricThanks reblca! Appreciate the great review. Seems like you haven’t actually left a rating though… It almost looks like you rated us 0 stars 🙂
Cheers,
EricI’m afraid this is not something that can be done easily. For a customization like this I would recommend hiring a developer who can do this.
Cheers,
EricJust a heads up that I am working on a fix for this. It’s specifically an issue with the boxed layout of Reach; the fullwidth layout should work fine.
Cheers,
EricSo glad to hear that you’re happy with Charitable, Steven! Wishing you lots of success with your fundraising efforts!
