In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] All-in-One ToolThanks @emiliacasillas, glad to hear the Jetpack Stats and security features are valuable for your site! Let us know if you need any help.
Hi @amwosi, you could setup a staging site to test without affecting the live site. Web host usually have an option to create that, or you could use a plugin like WP Staging.
That said, thanks for calling out the issue with Facebook, there’s indeed been some changes in their end that no longer allows the Official button for Facebook to display and show the number of shares.
If you recall some sharing buttons showing the number of shares, could it be one of the other plugins, Social Media and Share Icons or Superb Social Media Share Buttons and Follow Buttons? Or some options from the GeneratePress theme?
Hi @amwosi, could you test to see if there’s a theme conflict (see guide). If it still doesn’t work, please share a screenshot of how it looks when it’s set to Official buttons and with a default theme.
The number of shares will only show with the Official buttons, so it would help if you could apply that on your site for us to take a look.
Hi @amwosi, the buttons at the bottom of the post are the Sharing Buttons for visitors to share to their social networks.
If the display style is set to Official Buttons, some services will show the number of shares on your blog, as reported from that service. You can see the different display styles at https://wordpress.com/support/sharing/#change-the-button-style
Currently, your Sharing Buttons are using a “Icon & Text” style.
As a side note, Jetpack Social refers to a different feature that allows you to auto-publish to your social networks. You’re welcome to try it for free, https://jetpack.com/social/.
We’re delighted to hear Jetpack Boost helped improve your site’s speed and visitors’ experience, thanks for your kind words @mattyfro!

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Your android app is brokenHi @simpoo, thanks for sharing your experience and sorry to hear the Jetpack android app hasn’t worked smoothly.
Now when logging in via android app for the 1st time, it asks for a username and password and not application password.
The app should ask you to connect your account, and then take you to the next step to approve the connection. Is this flow not happening on your end?
Let us know and we’ll check with our product team.Hi @eric911, in order for us to take a closer look at this, could you tell us your username, and the site you need help with (if it applies)?
If you do not want to post those info publicly on this forum, you can contact us privately via this contact form. If you choose to reach out directly, please include a link to this thread. Thanks!
Hi @donnahoover , would you know what happens when your author tries to use the AI image generator?
Are they prompted with a message sayingYour account is not connected to Jetpack at the moment.?If that’s the case, then they will need to click the
Connect Jetpackbutton and follow the steps to get connected. On my test site, I gave it a try with a user account, and was able to generate an image, so I suspect something is off with your author’s configuration.
In case your author is connected but still can’t generate an image, we’d appreciate if you could share a screenshot and the site URL so we can take a closer look. If you do not want to post those URLs publicly on this forum, you can contact us privately via this contact form. If you choose to reach out directly, please include a link to this thread.
Hi @soularrow, thanks for sending in a private request, we’ve replied to your email but in case others have run into the same issue, I’ll answer here as well.
It turns out the issue was due to some new infrastructure/kubernetes that Apple just started using. Our team made some adjustments from our end to ensure Post by Email keeps working again with iCloud.
You can learn more about the issue at https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack/issues/42544#issuecomment-2734618812

In reply to: [Jetpack VideoPress] Conflict with Jetpack Social ShareGlad you were able to find a workaround for your custom theme. You could also ask them about adding support for VideoPress, here’s the VideoPress Player API Documentation that you could share with the theme authors: https://github.com/Automattic/videopress-player-api-doc.
Thanks again for the feedback, and for following the GitHub thread.
As the initial request is addressed, I’ll mark this thread as resolved.

In reply to: [Jetpack VideoPress] Conflict with Jetpack Social ShareHi @tahireu, thanks for your detailed VideoPress request. I understand how it wouldn’t be ideal to have duplicate videos in your Media Library.
It appears that you might be the first to request the use of a VideoPress file for the Attached Media, thanks for the suggestion!
The feature isn’t available at this time, but we’ve filed a request for our team to consider in future iterations, you can subscribe to this GH issue for updates: https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack/issues/41706On a separate note, if you have future requests that are for a site with WP VIP hosting, you can get prioritized support by submitting a ticket here.
I hope this helps!
Thanks @mr2p for sharing your workaround. @aclassifier @tramaway, if you don’t mind, could you perhaps test rolling back to version 14.1 and see if the warnings go away?
Meanwhile, I’m checking internally with our team. Thank you everyone for your patience.

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Disappearing commentsHi @hendrix924, thanks for the additional details and feedback. Our team is looking more into this, we’ll update you once we have an update.
Hi @delaitec , sorry to hear about the unexpected issue.
I wasn’t able to reproduce the issue, so I’m suspecting some plugin or theme conflict on your site.
The best way to find out if something is interfering is to test for a theme or plugin conflict.
You can do that by following these steps:- Temporarily deactivate all plugins except Jetpack, and clear your browser’s cache.
- Then, try accessing the Jetpack settings, if it works then you know another plugin is conflicting here. You can reactivate plugins one by one, and test after each one to discover which plugin is causing the problem.
Let us know if you’re able to find the conflicting plugin.
If you still need help, would you mind sharing the URL you need help with? (If you do not want to post the URL publicly on this forum, you can contact us privately via this contact form. If you choose to reach out directly, please include a link to this thread.)
