OK, found a solution.

Do the provided .htaccess change in the root directory. Worked for me.
I am having the same problem. When I type the title of the new post, the auto-draft is saved properly and shows up in Drafts. But when I type the blog post itself and try to save it, the page spins forever and the post is never saved.
This happens in IE 7, Firefox (Win) and Firefox (Mac).
I am on WordPress 2.6.3.
I’ve done the following steps:
– converted my categories to tags
– changed the domain settings to domain.com rather than http://www.domain.com
– added an .htaccess on the wp-admin directory
So far, nothing is working. I cannot post to the blog at all.

Ahh, correct. I changed the post slug to “pr0n” instead of “porn” and it worked. I’ll check with my host about this practice, seems a little totalitarian to me. Thanks, macmanx.
