In reply to: [WordPress Slider Block Gutenslider] Maintain aspect ratioIts quite difficult to answer exactly, because I do not know what you mean by “maintain the aspect ratio” do you have a demo somewhere of how it should be. It can mean many things.
Currently the “slides” all have the same height and width. You can only change that the image is fit into it or that it is cropped.

1: images are all same height + width and cropped, you can set the focus point
2: on each slide, in the block’s settings panel under “background”, you can set images to “contain” where the default is “cover”Other options will be released in the future.

there is a vertical align option in gutenslider, you can change the valignment on the block toolbar which is either located at the very top, or directly over the gutenslider block, depending on your editor settings.
The horizontal alignment can often be changed on the block you use. E.g. in Paragraph or heading blocks. If you need to pick an arbitrary position, you should use custom css and absolute positioning.

Sometimes it is an issue of the theme or of other activated plugins that mess around with gutensliders css. If you provide the page you need help with we can help you find css that will make everything look nice.

We will update this issue as soon as it is done. Somewhen around June. So long you will have to wait I am sorry.

currently there is no ‘out of the box’ feature that would offer that, however, you can add ans block in top you like. So e.g. you could set the slides vertical align to bottom and add a paragraph showing the number. Thats the manual way.
We consider adding a template for that maybe to make it automatic but are currently developing higher priority features like lazy loading, arrow styles and positining and other ui improvements.

wie are planning the parallax feauture in one of the upcoming releases of gutenslider pro.
Currently gutenslider cannot be wrapped in another kinetic block you are using to make parallax Backgrounds work out of the box.
If you want to have parallax you would have to go for your own implementation now.
I will update this issue as soon as it is available and close it for now.

If you do not want to purchase that, it is a thing you can surely fix in custom css, but we will not give support for that, as it is a pro feature – I hope you understand, as this is how we finance the plugin development.
