Try installing CKEditor for WordPress (https://wordpress.org/plugins/ckeditor-for-wordpress/) I believe that sorted out the issue.

I have been paying attention to the Visual and Text tabs, and using them correctly. In the past, line and paragraph breaks have worked fine, and been preserved after publishing.
It’s only been recently that I have been experiencing this problem, and I wonder if there’s a plugin or update that has triggered this issue. Is there a known bug that can cause a problem like this?
