@bsacue – To confirm:
* This is happening every time to try to save or submit changes on the Manage Gallery page and Manage Album page?
* Can you confirm whether this functionality has been working for you recently? ie, when was the last time you tried to do this and it was working?
@spotssen – We may still not be quite clear what you’re seeing. Let me try to clarify with these questions:
1) Whatever page where you have those albums inserted, when you go to edit that page (not yet clickding to add anything new), do you still see all the placeholders for your existing albums that are inserted into the page?
2) Assuming #1 is yes, I want to confirm that what you are doing next is just clicking the Add Gallery button to insert one more album? I assume you are trying to add this album at the bottom of a very long page (since you already have 102 albums inserted).
3) When you say ‘I have to rebuild all albums page’ do you mean you are clicking the Add Gallery button 103 times to insert 103 separate albums? Or are you doing something within the Insert Gallery Window itself, but on the Manage Albums page?
Ok, the errors there aren’t NextGEN specific. If you haven’t already could we ask if you could please deactivate NGG and confirm if the errors and issue are still there?
@nayr80 – I see the issue. The image uploading in NextGEN uses a third party library called plupload. The version we’re using does not support uploads on most mobile devices. Rather than continue to show the link when functionality didn’t work, we hid that link on mobile devices. We just forgot to hide it from the admin bar.
That’ll be our approach until we can update/adjust that library to support mobile.
I will say that we considered updating the library for this release. However, we took great care in this already-large release to avoid changing core functionality that could break and/or break other things as well. Given the critical nature of image uploads, we decided to avoid changing the core library for uploads for this release.
The functionality that’s not working there has been like that for years without much protest, so we didn’t sense it was urgent. That said, it is on our list of upcoming changes.
Out of curiosity – the fact that you were looking for that on your ipad – have you been successfully uploading images from you ipad in the past?
Thanks.
@sfrueh – We just double checked to be sure. But we didn’t change any code related to this functionality in the latest release, and none of are seeing this. Verticals are still handled fine in our testing.
I’m trying to figure out how we’d troubleshoot this. We’d need to be able to see the issue. A couple options might be for you to send us the specific images with which you are having issue, or to send us login credentials to your WP instance. If you are open to doing either of those, please do so via https://www.imagely.com/report-bug/. Put “For Erick” in the subject so I see it.
Usually, if a user has an issue that’s not widely duplicated, it’s the result of a) something in the hosting environment (ie, php version) or b) a plugin conflict. So both of those are likely culprits. It’s just hard to know without being able to see the issue.
Thanks.
@djdyonis – We just double checked to be sure, but this is definitely not something any of us are seeing. And I assume if it was common/general issues, we’d be seeing a lot of reports here. That probably means it’s something quite specific.
Any chance you could send us a screenshot so we can see exactly what you mean by broken? Sounds like you are familiar with how to see JS errors as well. If you can send those (or a screenshot), that we be very helpful too. Maybe even more helpful. If it’s not something you want to post publicly for some reason, you can also send to us via https://www.imagely.com/report-bug/
Thanks.
@wernerwporg – Yes, I’m surprised this doesn’t come up more often. It would be useful information to have visible from the interface. I’ll create and issue and raise it for team chat.
Right now, you’d need to look at the images on the filesystem (ie, via FTP).
Yup, as noted above, probably best to start new thread especially if you have separate issues (ie, image sizes).
We have noted your feedback on the contrast. And @joshbiz’s response on image sizes is correct.
Thanks!
@frednat – Thanks for the report and sorry for any issues.
While the design/appearance of the Insert Gallery Window is different, the functionality should be the same. For example, the way in which you select and insert galleries on a page should feel nearly exactly the same. Can you clarify what you were doing differently that you can’t do now? A screenshot might be helpful to understand.
For example, if you are inserting each gallery separately (sounds like you are), then you’d need to click the Add Gallery button for each. That’s the same now as before. If you are inserting them as one gallery, you’d have to select them all in the Gallery drop down inside the Insert Gallery Window, but that should also be the same.
I should also add that if you already had 82 galleries on your front page, those should all be there.

On sorting, that behavior should also be exactly the same. If you are not seeing the images, I’m wondering if there is some javascript error that’s breaking JS on your page. Is there a chance you could take a screenshot of your Javascript console. While looking at the sort page, just go to View > Developer > Javascript console in Chrome (or the equivalent in Safari/FF), and grab a screenshot. That will tell us if you have errors there.
As an example, that screenshot looks like this for me: https://monosnap.com/file/LkhAj3kZDofllidfaRW8hNoRttrDlU

Thanks.
Perfect. Thanks.
@dmason – can you clarify what’s breaking exactly? ie, Pricelists? Ecom sidebar in Pro Lightbox? Checkout?
@dmason – I’ll ask our team to test this to see if its something we can duplicate.
Hey Jan – You’ve done a great job in the forums for a long time. Thanks for monitoring and keeping them tight. Sorry if I’m pushing (or breaking) boundaries 🙂

Hey @michaelmoody-1 – I’ll pass this on to one of the devs who has worked on the lightroom importer. As far as I know, none of the 3.0.0 changes should have affected Lightroom behavior, but its a big update. I’ll keep you posted when I can get a diagnosis – even whether we can duplicate or not.

@nayr80 – any chance you could take a screenshot of link you are clicking?
Also, what’s the URL that’s trying to load after you click the link – the page where the error appears?
Thanks.
