In reply to: [Social Media Tabs] [Plugin: Social Media Tabs] SSL-Aware CSS URLs@remix4 – Could this be included in a new version of the plugin?
Also, can you confirm that the 2nd file to update is dcwp_slick_social_buttons.php? There’s no dcwp_social_media_tabs.php in v. 2.4.3.
Thanks!
Hi!
I’m having the same issue as markross67 and dcleeds.
Disabled all plugins but Jetpack + WooCommerce (my site won’t work without WooCommerce) and changed to Twenty Eleven but the subscription options are still showing. The only way they won’t show is if I deactivate Jetpack. I’d like to keep on using Jetpack.
I’m running Jetpack 1.5 and WP 3.4.1.
FYI, the reason why I want to disable subscriptions is because I haven’t been able to figure out how to localize the automated emails that a user gets once they choose to subscribe to the posts/comments. The text is not in the PO file. Would appreciate someone letting me know where this text can be found.
Thanks!
PS: Got the “Mind Rating Jetpack?” email, so looking forward to seeing this thread resolved ๐
The Google search results present the first sentence of the blog post as the Meta Description even though I have programmed a completely different one with Yoast SEO. How is that possible?
@krisolin – Changes you make to your site (eg, editing titles and meta description) don’t automatically reflect on search engines. What you see at any given moment in SERPs is what’s been cached –ย check the date of the cache to know how old it is. So, it takes a fresh new crawl for changes to take effect.
Hi Jon,
Yoast SEO will generate XML sitemaps for you, so having another plugin to do the same is redundant.
So, this is what I’d do:
1. disable the XML Sitemap plugin
2. in your WP dashboard, go to: SEO > XML Sitemaps
3. enable ‘XML sitemap functionality’
4. click XML Sitemap
5. copy the URL of your XML sitemap
6. submit it in the Webmaster ToolsHope this helps!
+1
I’m surprised that the caption/title are missing from this plugin. Providing this info to Google was the reason I downloaded it in the first place…
Hi!
Thanks, but that’s my point. It’s a bit of work and you need some advanced image manipulation software/skills to do it. I’m still trying to get round to doing it…
Cheers!
+ 1 for this suggestion
Mobiles should have an option to share already, so having the buttons show is redundant.

Rescanning the files was the missing step for all WP content to appear localized! This is now working after enabling low memory mode within CodeStyling plugin (check: http://goo.gl/ns8AD).
Many many thanks for the help!
Indeed it does! Thank you so much for debugging this! You’ve been absolutely awesome!
PS: Just made a small donation as a sign of appreciation for the wonderful tool and support!
OK, I figured out the reason why the scripted emails were getting sent partly in EN and partly in my locale. This was due to WP plugin Admin in English.
I’ve now deleted the plugin and the emails are being sent in my locale only.
I have no idea what the cache plugin might be. I’m using a number of plugins. Anyway, the content that I had mentioned I had already localized and was appearing in EN still, is now appearing localized….
Finally, there’s still WP strings (according to WooCommerce support) which appear in EN on the site. I cannot locate these in the WP PO file, though. I still cannot rescan the files either. Some of these strings are:

ERROR: Invalid username. Lost your password?I don’t know if being able to rescan the file would solve this last issue, but that seems to be the only thing missing to fix the localization issues.
Thanks!
Thanks! Just sent you an email.
Hi!
The po and mo symbols are green, not red.
Just upgraded to v. 1.99.21, tried to rescan the WP files again and I still get the same access error. How can I change permissions?
Thanks!
Hi codestyling,
Thanks for the reply!
#1: I’m not using FTP. I installed WordPress on Blueshost, so access my files via CPANEL. I update plugins/themes/WP via the WordPress dashboard. Updates are not automatic.
#2: Not sure it’s able to do that on the server… So far, I’ve always got warnings to update and the update didn’t happen until I clicked the update button.
Let me know if you need more info.
Cheers!
