Using i.e. the TwentyTwenty theme the click is handled alright.
Using my own theme the problem arises (I do not know how to disable the right click prevention in that theme).
After a lot of testing I found out:
When I bind the click event not to ‘.open_sidemenu>a’ but just to ‘.open_sidemenu’ the click event is handled.Thank you for your quick reply.

This is positive.
Security plugins just complain about missing maintainance of your plugin and advice to replace it by a maintained alternative.
This does not impact website owners positively.
If your plugin works with WP 5.2.3, please, just update the “Tested up to” version to 5.2.3.

I did not dare to update to WP 5.0.3, yet, as your plugin is stated to be compatible with WP up to version 4.8.8, only.
Did you test the plugin with WP 5.0.3 already?
