It ended up being that 2FA was not enabled on my client’s Gmail account.

Once that was enabled, I needed to create an “app password” and use that within the WordPress account settings.

Yes… 2FA should’ve been enabled a while ago I agree, but it wasn’t. Obviously something changed on Google’s end that initiated this issue in early June.

    I appreciate the help!

    I appreciate the detailed response.
I didn’t think it’d be an issue/fault with the Jetpack plugin/contact form itself but that was the starting point. If email notifications get sent to @outlook addresses vs @gmail addresses using the form, the wp_mail() function wouldn’t be at fault either.
I contacted Namecheap’s first level support and nothing is known on their end.
I may take your advice and use a separate @gmail address for the form and see if notifications are received. The client is OK with the change to the @outlook address, so this further testing would be for my knowledge.
    Thanks again!!!

Thanks for that. All the returned searches, when I searched, had issues with updating and linked to forums where there really wasn’t tried and true resolution. I happened to click on the very first link from the web results you provided and the update worked, it actually worked through MS’s Web Platform. I was originally hesitant to update directly from that because of the issues I’ve read and the fact that those fairly recent articles stated MS only provided 5.6 and no version of 7. So… I appreciate your help.
