I made it work for now by enlarging the font slightly with css. But will let you know if I need your help moving forward.

In reply to: Customizable email capture plugin?For those who might be looking at this in the future, I think I’ve found a solution.
I installed MailPoet and configured it to collect name, email, etc. data from people that sign up for a giveaway on a website page. The information from this form goes into a custom group list in the WP backend. It also sends out a welcome email that is usually meant for newsletters, but I used it to inform the entrant that they have successfully entered to win the prize, when the prize will be drawn, and a link back to the main website. It is also possible to export the list of people that sign up as csv or excel files. Seems to be perfect for my needs as I don’t need to send any newsletters or anything other than a confirmation email and keep track of who submitted a form entry.
If someone thinks this is not the proper way to do this, please reply and let others know, as I don’t want to steer them in the wrong direction.
Also wondering if there’s a way to display the other fields that have been added to the form in the Subscribers list. I will email you a link to the page to the address you listed above.

Thanks! This worked great. Although the email sent uses the email address as the Name, but I’ll try to figure that out. I don’t think I had fname in the form HTML.
Another quick question that I can’t seem to figure out, is where do I create the group in which these subscribers go? They all seem to go to a group named Test.

In reply to: Customizable email capture plugin?Just wanted to say thanks to Tony for your input here. However, I am still looking for a solution to this. I am trying to avoid any sort of popup and having to integrate with Mail Chimp, Constant Contact, etc. I just want an email capture plugin that I can customize the form to have more than just Name and Email and for it to send a Thank You email after someone has submitted their form. Oh, and of course exporting a csv list would be nice too. I don’t think this is too much to ask, but maybe I’m wrong.
Rainmaker with Email Subscribers almost did it for me, but creating a custom HTML form was a little too much for me as I don’t know how to activate the Submit button.
I figured out a work around for now by just making the image smaller and using a media query, but this should definitely be fixed. That’s huge if you claim your plugin is responsive.
Guessing there’s no support for this plugin anymore?
Okay, blurriness resolved by placing “full” sized image instead of thumbnail. Changes still don’t always show up, but sometimes do after a while. May be a server thing. However, the image in the paragraph/rich text editor is still not responsive and hangs out over the right edge of the popup window on smaller screens. ie. iPhone 7 vertical screen
Also, the image is blurry and when I try to change things, the changes don’t show. Even when I try to view it in a Private Window or a completely different browser. For example, I uploaded a new image, replaced the old image with the new one, and the inspector is still reading the old image. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve started reading about Icegram along with Rainmaker and Email Subscribers. I don’t have all the time in the world, but I want to figure this out so that I am able to use this technique in the future if needed.

Does anyone know if it is possible to see the HTTP status from the WordPress side and redirect to another WordPress page when the HTTP status on the other site is down?

I think another thing we want to avoid is when the server is not functioning at all since it is an internal server. (power failure, etc.) I’ve been told that the reliability of the current hosting system can be an issue at times, so I’m not sure if redirecting from there would be a possible solution. (I don’t handle that part of the site and I don’t think a WordPress site can be hosted there.) Or maybe I just don’t understand how to do what you’re suggesting.
Thanks for both of these suggestions. I tried the Imagify already, but unfortunately I have way more images than the free version allows and I’m not sure if it really did much to help the problem anyway. I’ll go ahead and try the EWWW plugin next.
