Okay, I did an experiment. I setup a new WordPress installation in a subfolder on my main domain. I installed all the same plugins as my main installation starting with Jetpack and connected all the Publicize links. I created a post and… It worked! No errors at all.
I just can’t figure out why it will work on a fresh installation but not my other three older installations. I thought it might be my Litespeed Cache plugin but I tried disabling that and no luck. I’m at a complete loss unless it could be some sort of database error.
I’m sorry for the late reply, I’ve been having ISP issues all day.
I’m still getting this error message when I make a post: “Publishing failed. Sorry, you are not allowed to edit the jetpack_publicize_message custom field.”
When I check the php link that my host gave me it says “XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only.” Is that right or should it say something else?
My host says there are no blocks or limits on the XML-RPC.php so now I’m at a loss as to what could be causing any of these problems. :/
I have just sent a message to my host about the XML-RPC.php. They should be getting back to me very soon. I’ll let you know what they say.
I already tried disabling all plugins and clearing my security plugin settings. No such luck.

In reply to: [Simplicity Likes] shortcode does not workI am having the same problem. If I set it to automatically add likes to bottom of content, that works but the shortcut won’t work at all regardless of other settings. It just displays text. I am using the latest version of WordPress 4.6.1

In reply to: css and images not loading unless logged inI checked the file permissions and they are all correct. Those files are 0664.
Sorry, I had trouble loading the WordPress.org site and couldn’t read the posts or reply until now. I put the Easy Social Icons widget back on my site and updated it. Thank you! It’s now showing horizontally like it should though there are lines under most of the icons but not all of them. Is that normal?
