In reply to: wp-content permissions won't changeAlthough, the hosting company did imply that it may have had something to do with a forum plugin we installed (Mingle). Not saying there was anything nefarious on their end. It may have just been a bad installation or something. Anyway, we’re all clear now.

In reply to: wp-content permissions won't changeJust to close this out. We’re not sure what happened, but my hosting company finally went in and reset all permissions. It seems to have fixed whatever was going on. As seems to usually be the case it was a hosting issue (whatever it was) and not a WordPress issue. If you’re having the same, you should check with your host first. Thanks again Cat for responding!

If they can’t help me out, I’ll give the backup thing a try…hopefully I don’t screw it up too badly. I’ll repost when I know something else. Thanks again!
