    Hello @rdeari,

    thank you for coming back to us.
    Here are our answers:

    • Yes, indeed, all other sites that have this issue are running German, too. Because of your assumption we changed the language of one of the WP installations from German to English and voilà: The console error was gone. In the moment we changed the language back to German, the console error was back.
    • The console error seems only to happen on the home page of WooCommerce: /wp-admin/admin.php?page=wc-admin

    Hello @shameemreza,

    sorry for us not coming back to you for so long. Meanwhile the 2nd and 3rd XHRGET 404 errors disappeared without us having done anything.

    But the initial sprintf console error still persists, although we have updated to WordPress 6.3.1 and WooCommerce 8.1.1.

    As you suggested we again deactivated all plugins except WooCommerce and we switched to Storefront theme, but still the console issue persisted.

    As we see this sprintf error in over 20 very heterogenous WooCommerce installations – all in those is updated to the very latest versions – on different servers in different data centers we really ask ourselves what still can cause this.

    What do you suggest to pinpoint this sprintf error?

    Hey @misplon,

    thanks for coming back to us so quickly and for letting us know how to remove the installer menu entry.

    For the notification bar: We’ll keep an eye on it. I had the strong feeling it kept reapearing after the plugin’s next update although being clicked away in the past using the cross icon. But I have to admit that facing our many installations of this plugin I might have missed to click some bars away in earlier versions of the plugin and see them now.

    I’ll mark this here as resolved for now and would let you know if the bar’s problem persists…

    Hello @anastas10s,

    • We just deactivated all other plugins and even the Avada theme and the issue persisted.
    • We also switched back to PHP 7.4 and PHP 8.0 and in both cases the issue persisted, too.

    In the same moment we don’t see the parallel to your GitHub issue link. We just have those 404 and the sprintf error just on the /admin.php?page=wc-admin page. We additionally updated WooCommerce to the current 7.9.0 and this, too, didn’t solve this issue.

    What can we do next to pinpoint and solve the problem?

    We see this error in all of our 20 WC installations and we are running the latest WooCommerce, WordPress Version 6.2.2 and PHP 8.1 on several different servers.

    the changelog on https://wordpress.org/plugins/html5-video-player/#developers and in your plugin ZIP’s readme.txt still didn’t get updated to the current version. Instead 10 hours ago your plugin got updated – again not with any update to the changelog.

    Hello @suascat_wp,

    wow, the GitHub bug report is 2 1/2 years old. Yoast knows about it for 2 1/2 years and doesn’t fix this. Is it because users that deinstalled your plugin are no longer in your focus that much?

    You put up with many users relying on having a sitemap but don’t have one because in the past they had installed your plugin. Don’t you think you should change the “severity: minor” status? Else there might be further years going by.

    Yoast gets so many little and functional updates every month which – in my humble opinion – could wait a day longer instead. Something like such a bug really shouldn’t wait for years to be fixed. The more time goes by the more users with this problem and not knowing about it at all will be generated by your plugin.

    And think about those users: They have deinstalled your plugin and thus an update of your plugin with a fix for this bug won’t reach them any longer. So you put up with producing such former users. The longer you wait, the more users with this problem will be there. I simply cannot believe this.

    Hi @takayukister,

    to do so we would have to self-implement (and maintain) some database storage functions for entered email addresses to determine if a mail address has already been used in the last 24h. This would go beyond what we can do here. We would have hoped that for a plugin with 5+ Mio. installations there were others that already thought about this risk of abuse and there might be a solution “out of the box”.
