Hey @mdashikul,
I’m afraid no mail we received from your colleague “Joynal Abedin” (Themefic Support help@themefic.com) did contain a visible ticket number I could tell you now.
In our ticket I essentially told your colleague the following, after he requested admin credentials to our WP:
“You won’t need our website’s credentials, since the bug in your plugin is easily reproducible everywhere. Just click yourself a test WP site, lets say at https://wpsandbox.net/
Don’t do anything but only install your plugin into this completely fresh WP – while having Firefox’ console open. You’ll immediately see the error message in the console after activating your plugin. The error message in the console appears in many but not in all WP backend pages.”Does this help you?

In reply to: [Ultimate Maps by Supsystic] Map cannot be savedHi @trsupsys,
oh ok, thanks for letting us know. Would you give us a hint where the Leaflet API key can be specified and where we can get an API key for Leaflet at all?
And the second question would be: When there is an API key mandatory, why can we save the map when we toggle to another engine, toggle then back to Leaflet and just click on “save” then? We haven’t specified an API key anywhere, but just toggled the engine forth and back one time and then it works (saving the map and displaying it on the frontend, too).
Greetings,
-doffineHi @mdashikul,
alright, I just created a ticket on your website. Thank you a lot.
Greetings,
-doffineHi @mdashikul,
thank you for coming back to us. After the last update we have to see that this issue still persists. So I marked this thread as not resolved again. Were you able to reproduce the problem or do you need further information?
Greetings and thank you very much for your work,

In reply to: [Ultimate Maps by Supsystic] v1.2.16 throws undefined array errorHello @trsupsys,
we see the same error here. Of course we can switch off warnings on the frontend of the live site. But of course, too, you should remove such warnings. Will you do this soon?
Greetings,
-doffineHi @shehabulislam,
we checked it and the external source disappeared. Great that you did this.
This is excellent and quick work and good for every user in the EU. So locally hosted videos can be put on the website without letting them be extra consent-clicked prior to loading the player from the external source.
We just noticed that now with the local player JS it seems to be in kind of a verbose mode and writing a lot of lines in the browser console (most are generated in VideoPlayer.js:63:14). For every embedded video on a page two lines are added into the console. Perhaps you want to switch that “verbose mode” off for the live version of your plugin? If every JS would write so much in the console, it would be full and you wouldn’t find anything there.
And second, if we expand one of those verbose lines in Firefox console:
Object { media: video#player , videoSource: undefined } VideoPlayer.js:63:14…we find in there:
<video id="player" class="" data-poster="" src="https://cdn.plyr.io/static/blank.mp4" preload="metadata" style="width: 100%; max-width: 100%;" controls="">
videoSource: undefinedSo there somehow still is something to be read of “cdn.plyr.io”. We don’t know what this means, since no external source is to be seen elsewhere. So perhaps it would be enough to switch off that “verbose mode”?
Greetings and thanks so much for your great work,
-doffineHi @shehabulislam,
the latest version indeed fixes this bug. I set this thread as resolved then.
Thank you a lot for your work,

In reply to: [Ultimate Maps by Supsystic] Map cannot be savedHello @trsupsys,
since you marked this thread as resolved weeks ago we just checked if the bug described in our thread starter posting really has been fixed. Unfortunately we have to see that it doesn’t. So we re-set this thread to “not resolved” again.
The bug still persists, so I can re-post the exact same sentence: “When the plugin is freshly installed, maps cannot be created because they cannot be saved.”
You can easily reproduce this by installing your plugin in a fresh WordPress test website (let’s say here: https://wpsandbox.net/) and just try to save. It doesn’t work. You still have to take the workaround of toggling to another engine and toggling back to the original one. After this you can save, not before.
Since this is a clear bug, we ask ourselves if you intend to fix this?
Greetings and thank you for your work,
-doffineHi @shehabulislam,
unfortunately the error hasn’t been fixed with the current update. We tried it again, and whenever we don’t have a video thumbnail set for a video, in the browser console we see a 404 request:
GET https://www.DOMAIN.TLD/path/false [HTTP/2 404 1683ms]As soon as we set a video thumbnail in your plugin for the video on this page and reload the page, the 404 is gone. When we remove the thumbnail and again reload the page the 404 is back again. It is reproducible. So I marked this thread as not resolved again.
No matter which page we load without a thumbnail set in a video with your player: The path ………../false is called and this causes a 404 error.
We guess you will want to look into this again.
Greetings,
-doffineHello @shehabulislam,
we just updated the plugin and did as you describe above and now the problem is gone. Well done!
Thanks again for your work and many greetings,
-doffineHello @shehabulislam,
the same problem as described above still persists in all of our installations of this plugin.
If we disable the plugin, the red “1” badge for the update next to the main menu entry “Plugins” is gone, as you say it. If we reactivate the plugin, the badge stays away for now. But as soon as we click on Dashboard > Updates (/wp-admin/update-core.php) the red badge comes back, although WordPress says that all is updated.
Even in the newest version 2.5.18 of your plugin which is currently 11 hours old, the issue still persists. The culprit is for 100% your plugin also in its current version.
When do you plan to fix this? Thank you for your work.
Greetings,
-doffineHi @ravanh,
we had no issues with the plugin under the current WP 6.4.1 so far. Thanks a lot in advance for the upcoming update and for your reaction. That makes us feel much better now 🙂

In reply to: [Ultimate Maps by Supsystic] Map cannot be savedHello,
thanks for the workaround. It works for now. But it’s not a permanent solution to our problem. We are using this plugin on 100+ websites and as you can imagine with this number of installations, we are asking ourselves if bugs are still being fixed or do we have to look for another plugin because this plugin is abandoned?
Thanks!@otto42, ah thank you very much for this explanation. We didn’t detailedly know about this reasonable process so far. From our (in this case uninformed) end user’s point of view we just had got an update without having automatic updates active, without having a choice and without any additional information about this incident.
Perhaps it would be an idea for a new feature that in the rather rare case of such an automatic update the update mail to the admin should contain a little hint/sentence to explain that this special update had security reasons and therefore it was done automatically after being reviewed by the plugins team.Greetings and thank you very much for your work,
-doffineWe got an automatic update, too, from 7.6.0 to 7.6.1 – without a download link. It was a standard automatic update mail from WordPress core although we also didn’t have automatic updates activated for this plugin.
An explanation would be nice when a piece of software is obviously force pushed into our installation.
Greetings,
-doffine
