In the setting page

wpDataTables –> Settings –> Main settings

I unchecked “Include full bootstrap back-end”. It seems to work.

P.S. In the opening post I forgot to write that the malfunction was only with the backend. Frontend has always worked

yes, I had already done what you suggested but plugin still didn’t work.

Error is:
Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘ in wp-content/plugins/simply-schedule-appointments/includes/lib/td-util/extended-cpts/functions.php on line 59

php version is 5.3.3
