Confirmation options are disabled when using Sabre in multisite mode as it uses the default behaviour of WordPress in this case.

Sabre is not designed for comments protection against spam but to avoid false users to register to your site. Not surprising if it doesn’t work on the comment panel !

Maybe I missed something but I don’t remember of some link to a russian translation for Sabre.
But if you have one, I will be happy to add it in the FAQ.

Sabre 1.2.0 is out now and usable in multisite mode.
    Enjoy !

Are you using WordPress in multi or monosite mode ?
Current version of Sabre is not multisite compatible. The forthcoming version will be.
Did you try to deactivate all your plugins but Sabre to see if the problem is still there ?
You may have some plugins conflicting with Sabre.

Hope it helps to find the cause of your problem.

    Best regards.

Plugins related with user registration or login process and even apparently unrelated ones can be conflicting with Sabre but I have no established list. You always have a chance with any plugin you use.

For the second point, I understand your position. I will study the possibility to change this behaviour.

Problem #1 is surprising and is a real issue. But without any additional information on your configuration (version of Sabre, WordPress in mono or multisite mode, list of plugins installed) I have no clever answer to give to you.

Problem #2 is the normal behaviour of Sabre. When you let Sabre choose the test randomly, it will choose among the three tests, disabled or not.

Problem #3 will be fixed in the next version of Sabre.

There are already good plugins out there for spam protection of comments, like Akismet or WP Spamfree. In my opinion, there is no interest to add this feature in Sabre.

    Best regards.

This issue will be solved with the next version of Sabre. It won’t be long, now.

To be honest, I have no idea about the reason why Sabre reacts like that when you try to register manually your existing users.
Normally, Sabre should send you back to the same Approved Registration tab with a message showing the number of user registered versus the total number of declared users. Something like :

    4/5 WordPress users successfully registered

Do you have something like that before being redirected to the login screen?

Did you try to deactivate all your plugins and not only Mingle Forum ?

    Best regards

After further investigation, there’s a good chance for Mingle Forum and Sabre to be conflicting.
Just try Sabre without Mingle Forum and see what’s happening.
    Regards

I don’t see any potentially conflicting plugins in your list but I will check more carefully.
I tested again but was not able to reproduce this behaviour.

Let me know the result after you try to deactive all plugins and run Sabre.

Sabre will be running in mono AND multisite mode in the next version. It will be released when WordPress 3.1 is out.
I guess you won’t have to wait for too long now as WordPress 3.1 is in its RC2 phase.
Thanks for being so eager for Sabre!

    Best regards

Sabre don’t check the users who have the right to manage other users, like admin for instance. Thus, I don’t understand why you experienced this strange behaviour.

Here are some questions that can help:
    – Are you using WordPress in mono or multisite mode ?
    – What are the versions of WordPress and Sabre used ?
    – Have you installed other plugins dealing with user profiles or security in some aspects ?
    – Can you give the list of the plugins installed ?
    – Did you try to deactivate all plugins but Sabre and check if the problem is still present ?

    Best regards

    @cogmios
There’s no IP whitelist within Sabre.
Sabre verifies the IP address status at zen.spamhaus.org and l1.spews.dnsbl.sorbs.net. If you think your IP address is mistakenly banned, just advise those 2 providers to get your address out of their ban list.
Another solution is to uncheck the “Check DNS Blacklists” parameter in the “Stealth options” section of the Sabre’s parameter. But, in this case, Sabre will no longer check the IP address status of your visitors, good or evil.

    Best regards,
    Didier
