In reply to: [Plugin: Vote it Up] mysql error return the number of votesDo you know, did anyone find a solution to the Vote It Up? It is the best on that suits my site and preferences. I am now having to use another voting plug in but it is not the same…loved the most voted all time side bar widget. Such a shame it is no longer supported.

In reply to: [Plugin: Vote It Up] seems to gone wrong since upgrade to WP-2.9.1I have also been using Vote It Up for two years now. Upgraded my WordPress and the plugin no longer words. But it states that it is only compatible up to 2.7. Too bad since it is a great feature on any website. Hopefully we see someone make the fix soon.

In reply to: Error after upgradeI went to my back up and added /wp-load.php file. Then I was able to go through the upgrade process but the site is not there. Not able to access dashboard.

In reply to: Upgrade errorI had a conversation with myself and figured it out all myself! Very proud at the moment. I had overwritten the wp-config.php so I went to my backup and reverted back to it! HA! And for those of you mommies out there – I did this while nursing! My fist upgrade as a beginner.

In reply to: Upgrade errorI upgraded using FireFTP. I did an overwrite instead of deleting. I uploaded everything except wp-content b/c I did not see any new files to change. But I cannot access my admin. Thanks again. Need help, I am learning as I go.

I guess you can’t until the files are fixed. Is that correct?

I read in another post about not using Fantastico for upgrades. But when I asked why, no one answered. Now I know that Fan really breaks up WP.
I looked at how to do the upgrade myself but it looked complicated. Course, the kids could have been screaming at the time, which makes everything seem impossible.
Now, I know. I will put Heckle and Jeckle to bed and attempt the upgrade myself. I have learned so much about WP these last 6 months. I know I can do it….with help from the forum. 🙂
Now I wait in hopes that a tech at my host can fix it all. Thanks for the support as always.

I downloaded ArtyBlogs Graphical Sidebar Widgets and transferred them to my theme where I saw the other .php files. So, under Presentation, Widgets there are no new Widgets I just transfered. But I do see them under Theme Editor and I can view the HTML of each when I click on the respective widget.
So, am I to copy and paste the code into the Text Widget that you described above? That seems odd since I thought I would just click and drag it into position. Thanks again.Forum: Fixing WordPress

The sidebar text is plain and could use a graphic or larger text. And even though Code is Poetry, I am in second grade trying to learn how to read it. 🙂 Thanks~
