In reply to: dreaded 'failed to upload'yeah when i changed to 777 it uploaded fine for me too (worked fine for 7 uploads) but when i revert /wp-content/ back to 755 it kills it again.
It’s a strange issue that would be handy to have resolved but at least i have a bit of a work around.Forum: Fixing WordPress

Is there a chance the uplaod scripts have been alterd from Owner to Public to allow upload.Forum: Fixing WordPress

Got to say though i don’t there is an issue with the images i’m uploading, been doing it for 3 years now 🙂

In reply to: dreaded 'failed to upload'on the image side i’ve tried jpg (rgb and cmyk), png and gif and there all approx 191 Kb, did try one that was 14Mb too, direct download off my camera (not raw).
