I have come up with a solution for this problem. I suggest you implement it in your next release, as it’s a quick fix.
Put your styles into a CSS file in the plugin folder called aboutme-widget.css and replace the style section in the php file with this line:
<link rel=’stylesheet’ property=’stylesheet’ id=’aboutme-widget.css’ href=’http://yourwebsite.com/wp-content/plugins/aboutme-widget/aboutme-widget.css’ type=’text/css’ media=’all’ />
