You don’t see a groundswell of complaints regarding the changes to images because you keep closing topics. Great way to disregard the issue.

Andrew wrote – “The thing is WordPress can’t incorporate every thing that people request.”

That’s a ridiculous thing to say, the features for editing images were already there and have been for years.

Do you have any idea how disruptive it is for people who use WordPress daily to see features disappear on a whim?

Additionally, don’t you think adding plugins for everything invites a ton of problems.

How can we trust all of these plugin authors with access to our site. Doesn’t this make WordPress less secure??

    Please bring back the features!

In the old version you click on an image, click advanced settings and voila, you can edit image properties – border, vertical space, horizontal space.

This new update takes us backwards with less control. Not happy.

Normally when things update you expect a step or two forward. This is very clearly several steps back. I’m very disappointed with this update.

When you click on the image it doesn’t even display the image url like it previously did. Now I have to go in to text edit to search for the url, which I do every time I post for use with open graph.

Now what, I have to edit the image in a program like Photoshop to add a border or padding. Ridiculous.

Yeah, hooray, great I can drag and drop images… But why take away features I use every time I post?

    I agree, scroll, scroll, scroll…

Not a step forward in my book.

I agree I’m spending much more time scrolling around and find this new design very unpleasant. Hope they give us the option to use the old design, this is horrible.

With this new update, font size is out of control, and the black on white design kills my eyes…

I’m on WordPress sites publishing content for most of my day.

I have to constantly scroll around which takes me more time. Aren’t updates supposed to make things easier??

I could give a flying flip about WP back-end aesthetics. (Which, by the way the last 3.7 style looked great.) All I can think of is how much more time this new design is stealing from my day.

And don’t even get me started on the new black bar with white font. White font is harder on the eyes. I tried changing in users setting, and agree there should be a way to select clean black font with white background!

Looks like the author has abandoned this plugin. Last update was on – 2012-10-30

It has broken for me and no longer functions. Now I have inactive map code on many of my pages.

Is this plugin no longer being supported by the author?

This plugin started showing an annoying popup after the last WP update.

So I tried to install the JQuery Update plugin. Thant didn’t fix anything, so I turned off the Google Map plugin and tried to turn it back on. Now I’m receiving this message…

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

I have tried using the js fix… nope
I tried reinstalling the original plugin… nope
I tried turning off JQuery plugin with fresh install of Maps… nope.

Now I’ve got tons of pages on my site showing gobbily-gook code. Could really use a fix for this… Think I’ll try theshines workaround next.
