I don’t have access to the server to change the memory limit. I’m running the 2010 theme and it totally breaks my ability to get to wp admin. Can I tweak something on the gallery side before I install?
You don’t really need nextGEN for the security, WordPress has it. When you make a post with the slideshow, look in the “Publish” box on your post admin screen, and edit the visibility. Change it from the default “Public” to “Password” and voila – secret slideshow.

In reply to: DOWNLOAD MONITOR: Downloads Not Working – Have tried EVERYTHING!FYI – I have been uploading the files separately with an ftp client, placing it into my own directory, then using “Edit File URL” to locate the file. When I upload the file directly using the Download Monitor, placing it into the default directory, the download link works correctly.

In reply to: DOWNLOAD MONITOR: Downloads Not Working – Have tried EVERYTHING!I wouldn’t stop using it if it’s working now. I don’t know what the ‘force download’ option really does, but I don’t think your going to risk breaking anything. It appeared to me that it would probably only work if you were hosting your files. I would imagine it either works on your server or it doesn’t. Time will tell 😉
I just wish I knew at what point in time it stopped working for me, it would be far easier to troubleshoot.

In reply to: DOWNLOAD MONITOR: Downloads Not Working – Have tried EVERYTHING!I will try to do some more troubleshooting into this, for example I haven’t turned off other plugins to check for conflicts. In an effort to get back up and running, I removed the Download Moniter, and then deleted the tables. When I reinstalled the same problem presented itself, but now I am using the “force download” option on each download – which is working (although it didn’t prior to the removal).

In reply to: DOWNLOAD MONITOR: Downloads Not Working – Have tried EVERYTHING!I’m having the same problem. The download url is missing the wordpress install directory, it’s starting one directory below:
http:////wp-content/downloads/myfile.zip
instead of:
http:///wordpress/wp-content/downloads/myfile.zip
