In reply to: [MashShare - Social Media Share Buttons, Social Share Icons] GDPR ConcernHi Rene,
Thank you for getting back to me.
I understand your viewpoint, and appreciate you have to protect yourself and your customers.
I can’t see it is a breach myself, and if so, we will of course remove it should anyone request us to do so.
Thanks again for the plugin, and your thoughts regarding GDPR.
Best wishes

In reply to: [MashShare - Social Media Share Buttons, Social Share Icons] GDPR ConcernHi Rene,
I am a big fan of the plugin and use it on my sites.
I have a query about this message and the removal of the share count due to the new GDPR guidelines.
We interpreted the regulations differently, and thought it would still be OK to use and display the sharecount.
Given we are not holding or publishing any identifiable information about website visitors.
It is simply a number.
Could you possibly point me in the direction of the specific section of the GDPR that you feel would make the sharecount unlawful. I would be interested to see it from your point of view.
Best wishes

In reply to: [AMP] Adding Google AnalyticsThank you Weston, that code has been accepted by the plugin so I think the analytics should start working now.
I must admit, I am very confused by this setup. No-where in any docs could I find simple instructions as to what to do, so thanks again for helping me.
Exactly what will this code offer data on then in analytics?
Is it just page views? Or behaviours? Referrals? Etc
Does a separate piece of code need to be added for each event?
I appreciate you helping me get this setup.
Best wishes

In reply to: [AMP] Adding Google AnalyticsOk,
This is the tracking code I get from Google Analytics, which I am trying to add to the AMP plugin.
<!– Global site tag (gtag.js) – Google Analytics –>
<script async src=”https://www.googletagmanager.com/gtag/js?id=UA-42994922-6″></script>
<script>
window.dataLayer = window.dataLayer || [];
function gtag(){dataLayer.push(arguments);}
gtag(‘js’, new Date());gtag(‘config’, ‘UA-42994922-6’);
</script>Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [AMP] Adding Google AnalyticsIs there a way I can give you this code privately?

In reply to: [AMP] Adding Google AnalyticsHi Weston,
Thanks for your guidance.
I have followed these instructions, added googleanalytics to the type field, left the ID field blank and added my google analytics tracking code to the JSON Configuration field.
However, it gives a message of Invalid analytics config JSON.
What must I do to convert my tracking code into the correct format?
I appreciate your help, could you advise me further or point me in the direction of a guide to do so.
Best wishes
Dave

So I thought I must add the analytics code and ID into this section… ?
What am I doing wrong?

In reply to: [WP Popular Posts] target=blank linksHi Hector,
Thanks for responding so quickly.
That is great, it was a far simpler change than I thought it would be.
Getting even more specific, is it possible to apply this rule to only one of the places I place the wpp plugin?
For example, I use wpp on a page to showcase some of my popular content, where I would like the links to be target blanks.
But I also use wpp in a sidebar, where I would prefer the links to not be target blanks.
Can you specify this rule to each individual use of the plugin?
Getting picky I know! Thanks for your ongoing help.

In reply to: Google ads not showing on home page since switching to httpsOK, thanks, I have already left it for a couple of days but I will wait a bit longer.
Do you know how long it might be expected to take?
And is that the issue? Because if it is, then why do the Google ads appear on all my other pages and posts and it is just the home page that is affected?
