SOLUTION:

Ahhh… my server had changed the permission mask on me… all uploaded files via ssh were 600.

I tried with spaces, and without spaces… same issue.

I have to say I am completely sick of WP’s autop stupidity. They’re throwing breaks everywhere! Please please please please please please please stop this! Please! I’m serious. This is totally stupid.
