How can he have the PRO-Plugin installed without having a licence?
Yes, some of our legacy-free plans allowed users to install the MailPoet Premium version too. That’s good because they will allow the users with these plans to use the MailPoet Premium features. But it doesn’t mean they can access Premium support.

Is there a way to modify the default WordPress emails templates (reset password, change email, comments, etc.), in the same way I can modify WooCommerce ones?
This is not possible with the MailPoet plugin out of the box.
However, it might be possible with some custom code. If you need help with custom code, you can reach out to someone from Codeable: https://codeable.io (affiliate link).

There was an error when sending a confirmation email for your subscription. Please contact the website owner.
This error message will be displayed for the users trying to subscribe to your newsletter if the sending method is not working.
The subscribers will be added to the MailPoet list, however, they won’t receive the confirmation email and will remain as ” Unconfirmed“. You’ll need to resend the confirmation email to these users once the problem is solved.
If you’re sending with the MailPoet Sending Service, it could be due to having the sending suspended, not approve yet or because you’re trying to use an unauthorized email as the FROM email address.

Alternatively, you could try creating a Slide-in form with any of the plugins available here https://www.mailpoet.com/plugins/ and then connect it to MailPoet.
