In reply to: Password keeps expiring for wordpress.orgOkay. This just happened again. This time I remembered and tried to log in with other browsers. I used opera and Firefox and in both cases the results were the same.
I was still able to log in to the Make section of the site, but all attempts to log in to the Documentation, Forum or extensions areas returned a login error with “The password you entered for Dane Morgan is incorrect.”
So this does not seem to be a browser or cookie issue. It seems there is something wrong with my account. I would just make a new account, but this is my name. My real name. I like it and I like using it.
Is there any way I can get the account completely deleted so that I can remake it?

In reply to: Password keeps expiring for wordpress.orgI’ve tried closing tabs, restarting the browser, deleting cookies then restarting the browser… everything I can think of, but the only thing that gets me back in is resetting passwords.
It just happened again, and I went through progressive steps trying all of these things, but ultimately had to regenerate the password again before i could get back in.
I was still able to log in to Make the whole time, but I could not log in to forums/extend area or codex. Codex I’ve not been able to log in on for over a week actually, but it was just today that I could not log in to forums.
I forgot to try opening a new browser and log in. I will try to remember trying that next time.
FWIW I’m running Chrome on Win 8.

Right this minute I am logged in on the forum and on make, but if I navigate to codex It shows me logged out and submitting the login form throws an authentication error.

Also this has been a recurring issue for me, I believe close to a year now.

In reply to: Password keeps expiring for wordpress.orgNot sure esmi, it would take a complete lifestyle change to do so as the problem isn’t daily. It will be a couple of weeks without issue until it occurs and I can’t switch to another browser for that length of time.
I could try uninstalling and re-installing Chrome, but with their dev cycle, I’m not certain how much good that would do.
In any event, the password is the same for both sides, so it is really odd that I could log in to one area but get an error in the other.
I cant specifically recall doing so, so next time around I’m going to try making sure i’m logged out in both locations, clearing cookies restarting the browser and logging in. maybe it’s some weirdness in the cookies.

1. This is because of facebook changes to requirements? Because as I said it did post to my timeline before and I didn’t make any changes to the app.
2. Despite the instructions saying that the fb:admin for the app has access to these without review, I still need to check these, then go in and take screenshots of myself posting a blog post in order to get reviewed and be able to post from my blog to my timeline using the open graph features.
3. I can still publish to my timeline without going through that process provided I uncheck and thus do not use, the open graph features.
I concur and I still have the issue. I have had to abandon the use of AVH on my blogs because being able to comment from the Android App is critical to my workflow.

once you’ve followed that, then just put the beta install in the /beta/ folder from the root and run it normally.

I ended up just using the official MC plugin and it worked, so I’ve uninstalled this plugin. If needed I can set up a copy of the site and reinstall this one to answer any questions, but it will be late next week before i’ll have the time to do that.
