In reply to: Sorting categories by name using <?php wp_list_cats(‘arguments’); ?>Btw, this is my current tag:
<?php wp_list_cats(‘sort_order=1&optioncount=1&exclude=0&list=0&sort_column=name’); ?>
I still cannot get the Category archive list to sort alphabetically.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

In reply to: Reading Options — Posts Per PageThis plugin will allow you to set a different number of posts per page for the main page, category pages, date pages, etc. I’m pretty sure it’s exactly what you’re looking for.
Is there a way to tweak the output of this plugin so that the newest posts are at the top in archive pages instead of the oldest post?
Thanks!

In reply to: Themes not working!!Oops! Just solved it. I de-activated the theme switcher plugin I had installed and I can now activate my themes. Weird. Is this how the plugin works or did I just find a bug?

In reply to: Idea: Mailing List PluginDuh. If I wasn’t so tired, I would have been able to figure that out on my own. Thanks so much. Downloading the updated version as we speak. Er, type.

In reply to: Idea: Mailing List PluginWell, I figured out how to tweak the output. Whew! I’m still wondering if there’s a way to just display the actual subscribe box in another page, like the index page to my actual site, not my blog.
Again, great plugin! Thanks so much!

In reply to: Idea: Mailing List PluginGreat! Thanks so much!
Now just one more stupid question. I’m just having a hard time figuring out how to customize the output of the subscribe.php file. I am using it with a custom theme that I created for my business website. The blog isn’t a regular WP style blog. I want the subscribe.php page to match the rest of the blog.
Or is there just a way to put the subscribe box and message on a different page?

In reply to: Idea: Mailing List PluginHrm. Is there a way to actually modify the subject line of the email option? There’s all these great settings to notify people of posts, but nothing for just the email section.
For example, if I’m running a promo on my site, I’d like to be able to customize the email, including the subject line for that reason. It would be great if there could be a template and options like there are for the blog entry notifications.
Just an idea. =)

In reply to: Idea: Mailing List PluginYou bet I will!
One more thing… is there an option for users to manually unsubscribe themselves from the mailing list? I’m still playing around with the plugin, but wanted to add something like this to the end of my emails:
To remove your email from our mailing list, click here: (link to unsubscribe)
Thanks again. I will be donating soon.

In reply to: Idea: Mailing List PluginYep, this is what I was looking for. I doubt I’ll use it to notify of blog entries, but I will definitely use it as an actual mailing list. This is exactly what I was looking for!
You rock Skippy!
Do you have a donate button on your site?

In reply to: Idea: Mailing List PluginOMG Skippy! You’re f’ing brilliant! I’m implementing right now. So I can really run a “mailing list” from within WP and be able to to send emails at will to the subsrcribers on the list? Bravo! I’ll be back after I implement….

In reply to: Mailing list plug inI might have to try this Bloglet option ringmaster. I too am looking for a mailing list plugin, similiar to ExpressionEngine’s built-in feature. I just want something that will allow visitors to my business’s website, to sign up for a mailing list that I can mange from within WP’s interface. This list wouldn’t necessarily be used to mail out blog posts, but rather emails regarding any news, updates or specials happening with my company and it’s website.
I’m hoping someone will come up with something for this. I’d donate in a heartbeat!
