Hey AmpforWp…
Why do you discriminate against Pages???

Clearly it doesn’t resolve all issues, just the double ad appearance.
Hi Marqas,
I thought you told me that there aren’t social share buttons…Karen
Darn it. But, on the other hand the social icons from JetPack slowed my desk pages by seconds.
Two thoughts:
1. I’d pay for an extension that made my site links AMP on my AMP pages.
2. I think I’d pay for a social icons extension, but I’m not sure. It seems as if mobile users don’t go to other pages as often as desktop users, so maybe they wouldn’t use the social icons that much…Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: wordpress is creating errors by treating some images as pagesHi,
If EVERY uploaded image has an attachment page, why are there only 54 problems out of hundreds of images?
Notice in the image I attached that only one of my real pages has the image page attached, and there’s only one image page when in fact there are multiple images on the page, and I don’t have any page without an image.
Still, I’ll try the solution you offer.

In reply to: [AMP for WP - Accelerated Mobile Pages] 3 QuestionsMaybe I didn’t write about the ads as clearly as I should have.
Some time ago a man on the forum showed how you could use the AMP Ad code anywhere in the html of a page. I mean putting it into the TEXT view of a page, rather than the VISUAL.
I did that on a lot of my pages and it seemed to work, to have AMP ads where I wanted them in my AMP pages. But, then … when I went back to some of my pages in desktop, the ads were appearing one on top of the other, stacked.

In reply to: [AMP for WP - Accelerated Mobile Pages] 3 QuestionsHi Marqas,
As an aside, I never understood the custom AMP editor. Thank you for explaining.
I don’t think it’s something I can use, though. With my brain injury I have a hard time remembering things, so if I corrected a typo on a page, I might forget to correct it in the custom AMP editor, then my pages would no longer be the same, which tends to irritate Google.

In reply to: [AMP for WP - Accelerated Mobile Pages] 3 QuestionsHi Marqas,
🙂
No, I don’t want all links converted to AMP. I want only the links to my site pages served as AMP.
Google tends to get a bit freaked out when you switch stuff so that a visitor might get confused. My thought is that a visitor lands on my AMP page, then goes to one of the links to more information on my site, but that page is Responsive rather than AMP, so the entire layout is different, and it’s slower…

The above is one of my long pages. I would like ads farther down the page. I tried using the “custom” ad format as suggested in another topic, but it displayed on my desktop pages in some instances, so that I had my desktop ad and my AMP ad on top of one another. I’m not sure why it didn’t always display. At the same time, it appeared to Not display in AMP.
🙂
Looking forward 🙂

In reply to: [AMP for WP - Accelerated Mobile Pages] 3 QuestionsBy the way, I didn’t think #3 was a suggestion.
I saw “Below the Loop” in my widgets, and I wondered how I’m supposed to use it, or if I’m supposed to use it at all…

In reply to: [AMP for WP - Accelerated Mobile Pages] 3 QuestionsHi,
Okay, but isn’t that a problem? I mean, if I put amp links in my regular WordPress pages, then desktop would open to Amp? right?
So either way, a site visitor gets a sort of rude switch… either AMP to WordPress Mobile, or WordPress desktop to AMP…
It seems like it would be a very tricky coding problem.
I wish I could donate this month, but this month and next are extremely tricky due to having to pay the lawyer who did my foreclosure trial for me, plus next month I have to pay hefty hosting costs…
Sigh.
But then, after that … 🙂
All is well since the last update.
Happiness!!!
