In reply to: [Miteri] I don’t see the breadcrumbsThat’s a nice instruction page that you have. 🙂
Here’s my page where I selected layout 2… nothing showed up with default. As you can see, nothing showed up with Layout 2, either https://health-boundaries.com/home/b12-malabsorption/milk-thistle/But, as I say, that’s not very important to me right now.
Though, the breadcrumbs are showing on my AMP/mobile site. I don’t know if they were showing there before. I don’t think they were…
You guys are Very helpful. I must go and tweet about your theme. 🙂

In reply to: Why Title Attribute Field should remain filled inmove the image, I mean… For instance, if you have images with Title Attribute filled in, and you open them in a new page are the fields blank or filled in?

In reply to: Why Title Attribute Field should remain filled inI’ve never seen anything on my site like your example. It looks completely foreign and strange.
According to Google the field is useful to its organization of images to provide for search image results.
I’m not sure you understand the problem I’m trying to get fixed.
Did you actually have a page with an image with the Title Attribute filled in, and move it… without the field going blank?

In reply to: Why Title Attribute Field should remain filled inHi Jeffrey,
I’m using Chrome.
As an aside, when I asked the question differently I got the reply on this forum that WordPress had stopped providing the Title Attribute field after 3.5… many many years ago. I was told it was BAD practice to use the field.
Are you saying that when you fill in the Title Attribute field for an image, and move the image, the field remains filled in?

In reply to: Image Alternate Text and Title Attribute DisappearHere is an excellent video on why it’s important to fill in the Title Attribute and Alternate Text in order for Google Bots to properly categorize images.

It would be great if WordPress were improved to retain the image information once it is filled into the fields.

In reply to: [Miteri] GT Metrix Page SpeedThank you so much for your help. 🙂
I continue to LOVE Miteri. I’ve mentioned it a few times on Twitter, in case any of my followers are looking for a new theme.
I ended up doing a new Header image with a 220 logo. It looks clean and fresh.
I love the Open Sans font you’ve chosen for Miteri 🙂

In reply to: Image Alternate Text and Title Attribute DisappearFinally, when I hover my cursor over an image on my site, the Title Attribute comes up in a little banner thing. The Alternate Text doesn’t show in any way.

In reply to: Image Alternate Text and Title Attribute DisappearApparently, however newer articles say that Chrome supports title attributes on images.
Using Title Attributes on images is what I was doing. That is apparently not a bad thing to do even though not all browsers support them.

In reply to: Image Alternate Text and Title Attribute DisappearI found this which I think is helpful. I will, having read it, go back and take the Title Attribute out of all the places I filed it in, in scores of pages…
I had a sinking feeling about the title attribute for a while, but hadn’t seen anything definitive until I came across the aptly named “I thought title text improved accessibility. I was wrong.”:
So if you’ve been adding descriptive text into the title attribute, don’t. Blind users won’t hear it. It’s next to useless. This common misconception could lead to important information being completely inaccessible by the people who it’s intended for.
An article with even nittier-grittier details, “Using the HTML title attribute”, comes from the Paciello Group blog, an excellent source for web accessibility information.
The HTML title attribute is problematic. It is problematic because it is not well supported in some crucial respects, even though it has been with us for over 14 years. With the rise of touch screen interfaces, the usefulness of this attribute has decreased. The accessibility of the title attribute has fallen victim to a unfortunate combination of poor browser support, poor screen reader support and poor authoring practices.
