I tried the last version of Yoast SEO (17.3) where this bug is suppose to be fixed. In this new version “Fixes a bug where the placement variables Category, Name and Tag would not show up in the snippet preview”.
Unfortunately, it still doesn’t work on my website with the %%category_description%%. Almost every variable doesn’t work in my metal description.
Thank you for your quick answer. How will I be able to know when the problem will be solved? Will you post something on this forum or there will be a message somewhere?
