Category description variable not displaying in meta description

    Hello,

    1/ I would like my category descriptions to appear in all my post meta descriptions. So, I used the snippet variable %%category_description%% on a post. But it doesn’t work, and Yoast SEO still asks me to provide a meta description (nothing appaears).
    Of course, I wrote a description in the category before to add the variable in my meta description.

    2/ I’d like to apply the %%category_description%% variable on all my posts to avoid adding the varibles on each uniques post. They’re attached to different categories. But I can’t change the meta description with the %%category_description%% (Yoast SEO does’t propose me).https://snipboard.io/A4BD1a.jpg

    Just to clarify, you can check the changelog from time to time for future bug fixes and updates with each new release.

    Hello,

    I tried the last version of Yoast SEO (17.3) where this bug is suppose to be fixed. In this new version “Fixes a bug where the placement variables Category, Name and Tag would not show up in the snippet preview”.

    Unfortunately, it still doesn’t work on my website with the %%category_description%%. Almost every variable doesn’t work in my metal description.
