In reply to: [The Events Calendar] [ecs-list-events] not working wellHa! You’re right. Wrong forum haha. Sorry
This issue has still not been resolved, with internal pro tickets. All the Meetup groups I import are Los Angeles/America (currently UTC-8). All intended visitors are in same time zone. The UTC offset for any event is available in API. Not sure why it cannot be applied during import
The issue still lingering with my workaround above is that the Event is “passed” 8 hours before it starts. And TEC changes to the next day at 4pm instead of midnight.
To show how nutty it becomes, I have a countdown to next event on home page (http://www.hikingwithdean.com). When it shows less than 8 hours to next event, and visitor clicks on event, the event is passed!
Its either that or have the wrong times displayed on the event. There has got to be a different way

In reply to: [Post Types Order] Option to only show published post in reorderJust installed plugin a few minutes ago and that is the first question I asked myself. Currently I have 866 custom posts (from Events Calendar), most “Pending Review” (never to be seen by public) 184 of them Published. Be nice to filter out the “noise.”

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Event Category v. Post CategoryI found your snippit to Enable ‘default’ categories for Events. I am almost there. The issue now is that both categories are listed above title. For example, check out https://www.hikingwithdean.com/category/hikes/
Default cat = Hikes
TEC cat = Hiking With DeanIf I remove the TEC cat from Event, then it won’t appear on Calendar as category.
Am I on the right path, or is there a more straightforward way of handling an Event Category like a Post Category?

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Event Ordering in Month ViewWhen I had premium support ( a month ago) my first request was never answered — to this day. Your link is not a solution since reversing chronological order will always put the last event at the top.
I found the answer in the Event editor’s Event Options

In reply to: [The Events Calendar: Category Colors] Super Powers in ListsOops — just read in wiki only available in Month view 🙁
Let me try this one. If you purchase the pro version, you will get a Location field in the search bar. And result, in addition to list of events, will include a map with a pin for each location.

In reply to: [The Events Calendar: Category Colors] teccc_legend_html PlusYes, it was. In both child-theme and theme functions.php. I probably shouldn’t have used the wp editor

In reply to: [The Events Calendar: Category Colors] teccc_legend_html PlusThe error was being announced by my editor not the web page. It was due to a stupid mistake. Anyway, I got it right and here is the result
http://www.hikingwithdean.com/events/
The code is from: https://github.com/afragen/the-events-calendar-category-colors/wiki/Filters-and-Hooks
Note that the text appears ok but in the upper left corner of page the actual code is being displayed. Its a little hard to see, but you will see it in the dark stripe
Any tips on my 2nd question?

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Not pulling all theme elements – social iconsLike I said that setting was not there. Its one thing to take a week to respond, its another to respond with a question that was already answered.
In the meantime, Enfold posted some code to bring it back (https://kriesi.at/support/topic/default-template-settings-missing-from-event-calendar-pro/). But your solution still does not work. No social icons inserted

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] unable to log inI have to move on with my site. Its taking longer to get questions answered about a calendar than it is to build the rest of my site.
Please issue refund before end of business day 10/31
