In reply to: [BackWPup – WordPress Backup & Restore Plugin] incomplete backupHi @andreapetrucci1975, with this new setting, can you now set the logging level to debug (not translated), rerun the job and then post the log? The log is rather lengthy so you can also send it to support [at] backwpup.com if you prefer. But it’s likely getting hung up on some folder or another and it’d be helpful to see which one.
Hi @thisgirlabroad,
Please check your maximum script execution time setting. This is the most common reason for the warning you’re getting. It should be set to about 25 seconds.
Hi @coolfortheblind, can you verify that you have enough space in Dropbox? Also, are you getting any other warnings or errors besides this? I’ve seen this happen if Dropbox has to make multiple attempts to upload the same file.
Hi @fotske, it looks like your site has likely gotten larger and requires more memory.
Are you on shared or VPS hosting? If shared, I’d ask your host if you can be permitted to use more memory. If a VPS, I would up the PHP memory limit, or if infeasible, then upgrade the VPS.
Hi @fdeitelhoff, thanks for reporting this. I suspect you are exactly right. Thanks for finding that and helping us to pin it down.
We’ll take a look at this and should include a fix for such cases in the next version. I’ll keep you updated in this thread. 🙂

In reply to: [BackWPup – WordPress Backup & Restore Plugin] incomplete backupHi @andreapetrucci1975, I believe we were investigating your issue in support, right? And the issue was with the process timing out while trying to upload. Did you set the max execution time?
Hi @joelschmid, how much memory have you given it? Indeed if you have a large site with a lot of posts, it will take a lot of memory.
Hi @micwp123, glad to hear you could work this out.

In reply to: [BackWPup – WordPress Backup & Restore Plugin] Old archives are not deletedHi @mkj2, not necessarily. I was simply asking that to help debug. I have tested this on my own system and am able to keep the folder name blank, while having the plugin still delete old files.
Let me check into it more. If you want this to be fixed faster, you can also grant us temporary access to a user with the BackWPup Admin role, plus FTP access, You can email that to support [at] backwpup.com. That’s the fastest way to resolve this. But either way I will try to reproduce this, but so far have not been able to.

In reply to: [BackWPup – WordPress Backup & Restore Plugin] Avert with the directory listHi @lysithee, could you generate a debug log and send it to us? Go to BackWPup > Settings > Logs, and set Logging Level to
Debug (not translated). Then run the job again. Download the log file and attach it to an email to support [at] backwpup.com.Make sure you attach the log file itself, which should be an html file. Just pasting the log in the email will not help as much.

In reply to: [BackWPup – WordPress Backup & Restore Plugin] Old archives are not deletedHi @mkj2, just to narrow things down, can you try putting a folder name in and seeing if that works?

In reply to: [BackWPup – WordPress Backup & Restore Plugin] Avert with the directory listCan you turn WP_DEBUG to true and see if you get any other notices or warnings?
