Hi Rynald0s!
That’s really helpful, thank you.
I used the Woocommerce blocks as recommended in the link you sent me, then added ‘Hand-picked Products’. A couple of issues here: when I set the number of columns to ‘3’, two columns appear, when I set the number of columns to ‘4’, three columns appear, etc. Any idea what might be causing this? Second thing is, is there any way to make sure that the hand-picked products inherit the same styling as the products on my main shop page (to have the same ‘Add to Basket’ button, text font, etc.)
Thanks!Hi Tarek,
Thanks but I’m afraid it doesn’t work. Just to confirm, my settings are as follows:
Appearance > Customize > Woocommerce > Product Catalog > Products per row: 4
Woolentor > Settings > Woocommerce Template > Product limit: 4
After loading my shop template and dragging across the WL Edit Universal Product Layout widget, I have the option of selecting the number of columns (1-6) under the ‘Layout settings’ tab.
If I select 1, 2, 3, 4 or 6 only two product columns appear. If I select 5, three columns appear.
The product limit under ‘Query Settings’ is set to 4.
Am I doing anything wrong?
Thanks,
ClaireHi Tarek,
Thank for getting back to me. I tried what you suggested but nothing changes. Ideally I’d like 4 product columns but only 2 appear when I use the WL Universal Product Layout. If you have any other ideas please let me know!
Thanks,

In reply to: [Smart Grid-Layout Design for Contact Form 7] Increasing text area heightHi Aurovrata, I really apologise for not getting back to you sooner. You said to inspect the admin form page editor and check the javascript console to see if I get any errors – truth is I’m not very experienced at this so I actually don’t know what this means(!) I was intending to finding someone who could explain to me what I’m looking for but hadn’t got to it yet… I will keep trying and hopefully can figure out the problem! Many thanks for looking into it, and sorry again!

Thanks Thomas, you were absolutely right – it was hiding in an insert header plugin that I’d completely forgotten about… *embarrassed laugh*. Thank you so much for your help.

In reply to: [Smart Grid-Layout Design for Contact Form 7] Increasing text area heightThank you so much for getting back to me.
I have read this document over and over, I’ve tried to follow what it says, and still nothing works. Even if I paste in:
[textarea your-message]
foo
bar
[/textarea]or
[textarea your-message 40×10 “your message here …”]
as shown in the text fields explainer document you linked to, as soon as I click ‘Update’ the text field reverts to the default (which is always [textarea your-message x5]). Nothing I do increases the height of the text box. Sorry if I’m being an idiot and am missing something really obvious. I’ve just tried so many things and nothing works.
Thanks,
ClaireHere’s another one:
“Single title: H1s should only be used as your main title. Find all H1s in your text that aren’t your main title and change them to a lower heading level!”
I only have one H1 and no other subheadings in this section.

In reply to: [Smart Grid-Layout Design for Contact Form 7] Increasing text area heightHi Irene,
Just wondered if you might have a solution for me?!
Thanks,
ClaireNot at all, Sandra – glad it’s not just me!
The readability thing, in particular, drives me crazy. Sometimes writing in the passive voice is simply more appropriate in the context (i.e. when you are trying to convey professionalism in describing a service you offer) and I really question how detrimental that is to SEO ranking. So long as you’ve included your keywords and it all flows and reads well, what’s the problem? I’ve begun to take the Yoast traffic light warnings with VERY a large pinch of salt (especially with regard to the minimum word count). Surely it’s quality of content that counts, not quantity(?)
Anyway, the incorrect warnings don’t inspire confidence in the plugin. Hope someone has an answer!

In reply to: [Smart Grid-Layout Design for Contact Form 7] Increasing text area heightHi Irene,
Thank you so much! The url is https://labonneechappee.com/contact/ .
I inspected the code in the browser (well, I took a look at it – I’m afraid I’m a complete beginner so it doesn’t mean much to me!)… Under {textarea I saw ‘min-height: 130px;’ with a line through it.Claire

Thank you so much for your reply. Apologies – I’m a total newbie at this – would you mind telling me where I can change the value to 100%?
Many thanks!
