In reply to: [MailPoet Newsletters (Previous)] Integration with Postman SMTP?None of those reasons applies to me, as far as I can tell, since our email list is less than 500, we only send emails once a month, and our webhost is TOTALLY awesome though not on your list. (You might add WP Engine to that list, if you care to.)

In reply to: [MailPoet Newsletters (Previous)] Integration with Postman SMTP?Thank you for this explanation. Unfortunately, we have been trying to get away from “middlemen” in our email process, which is why wp_mail was a very attractive option for me. Keeping the process “in-house” just seems to make sense. I prefer a plug-in vs. using an outside service when it comes to SMTP. Is there any possible benefit to using an outside service like SendGrid or ElasticEmail vs. internal WP email functionality?

In reply to: [MailPoet Newsletters (Previous)] Integration with Postman SMTP?The reason this is important to me is that so far, MailPoet FAILS in allowing me to specify a “sent from” email, even with SendGrid in place and functional. The “sent from email” is all wrong, and if they cannot correct this issue, I’ll be looking for a different newsletter/email app. Sigh. I can’t even tell where they are getting the sent from email address. Your app, Postman SMTP, takes care of this issue and allows me to specify a delivery email, a reply email, etc. Can you recommend an email or newsletter app instead of MailPoet? One that works with Postman SMTP?

In reply to: [MailPoet Newsletters (Previous)] Integration with Postman SMTP?Hi Jason, Thanks for the link! I guess I will see about using SendGrid instead. Would be nice if MailPoet would accommodate your new plugin; it is receiving great reviews! I hope MailPoet will respond to this thread/concern in the near future.
