In reply to: [AMP for WP - Accelerated Mobile Pages] Mobile RedirectionSpoke too soon I reckon:
Even with Mobile redirection enabled, the AMP website is not showing.
How do I get the AMP version to show?
A nice little step-by-step would be useful here.Forum: Plugins

In reply to: [AMP for WP - Accelerated Mobile Pages] Mobile RedirectionOk, mobile redirection turned ON and awaiting diagnosis at https://www.midlandsmaidens.com
Another strange thing – Google Pagespeed Insights is showing the AMP version for both desktop and mobile even when mobile redirecion is off.
Should it do that?Forum: Plugins

In reply to: [AMP for WP - Accelerated Mobile Pages] A Few ProblemsBit of a ‘bump’ here.
How do I get rid of the white bar?
I thought it might have been the Swift theme but I’ve tried doing a page without the theme and just using the AMP page builder and the white bar is still there.- This reply was modified 6 years, 5 months ago by classies.

In reply to: [AMP for WP - Accelerated Mobile Pages] A Few ProblemsQuick update on this thread:
I’ve invested in CSS Hero to arrange my CSS and put it all in the Global Settings within Amp for WP.
One niggling problem though:
Theres a bit of code in the AMP theme:html.i-amphtml-singledoc:not(.i-amphtml-inabox)>body { background-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); }that no matter how I edit it in CSS Hero or otherwise that leaves a white bar towards the bottom of the front page.
I’ve tried using the !important tag to force it to turn a different colour, but no luck as yet.

In reply to: [AMP for WP - Accelerated Mobile Pages] A Few ProblemsLooking at the layout in the builder, I’d propose a feature request regarding part of the above.
In ‘HEADER’ there are options to change the header background colour and the element colours.
Ideally this should also be extended to ‘HOMEPAGE’ and ‘SINGLE’ too so that pages and posts can be customised.Ok, so I left it for awhile and the stats in the admin bar started working.
This method is far from perfect as it takes several moments to load up the stats, and when they do, those stats can be found in the back end admin where they load up almost immediately, and theres no loss of real estate on the front page.
Whereas some people might like it, I’d bet that many more won’t like it and would prefer a way to get google sitekit off the front page admin bar.Yes, it’s still there as I updated to the latest version this morning.
Usually when a plugin has an item in the admin bar that has more info (ex Yoast) it just shows a menu that can be clicked on for more info if needed.
Sitekit however slightly overdoes this as everything is already available from the internal admin with no need for a full width dropdown which may, or may not, be working.
Please consider the option to remove this from the admin bar for future releases, which will save having to use another plugin to remove it.Forum: Plugins
