In addition to short pixel, my website runs on a litespeed server, so I needed to deactivate short pixel for it to work properly.Forum: Plugins

In reply to: [AMP for WP - Accelerated Mobile Pages] Related Posts pt2How-do-dat-den?
I’ve downloaded an ‘export’ file, where shall I put it?
For info I’ve also changed the permalinks to a custom structure so that categories and posts now show up in the url.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [AMP for WP - Accelerated Mobile Pages] Related Posts pt2Hi,
Sorry, it was a long night. I meant ‘categories’ rather than ‘custom post types’.
So I’ve turned off the ‘categories’ part of related posts and its sort-of working, but the related posts shown are really vast and not really related now.
So I’ll turn ‘categories’ back on for your analysis.
URL for analysis: https://www.midlandsmaidens.com/news/amp/
Categories in there are ‘news’, ‘music box’, ‘secret diary’, and ‘room 101’.
Think I already mentioned that the related posts show up in ‘in content related post’ but that looks really silly in my custom post types so I disabled that.
In all of the categories except the news one (which works fine) there is just one related post showing in the sidebar.
A couple of examples from other categories:
https://www.midlandsmaidens.com/headspin/amp/
and
https://www.midlandsmaidens.com/agency-hopper-applicants/amp/
which has the further strange inaccuracy in that two related posts are showing, but its always the same two posts.Already told you that the twitter feed widget is from code supplied directly by twitter, and that WPExplorer supply the facebook feed one.
Actually removed my code snippet that disables site health and found that it suggested removing site kit as it wasn’t being used.
So I did.
And it won’t be going back until it plays better with wordpress, all of its plugins, and takes a reality check by publishing changes in a wordpress changelog instead of github.Using a twitter feed text widget with code supplied by twitter, a facebook feed widget supplied by WPExplorer and the google analytics plugin by exactmetrics.
I never use site health.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Rank Math SEO – AI SEO Tools to Dominate SEO Rankings] GSC Module SitemapsQuick update on this:
Went to GSC and found that there were two sitemaps submitted even though I’d only submitted one. There was also an empty sitemap_index.xml map in there as well as a page-sitemap.xml one that had content in it.
Why was the sitemap_index.xml empty?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [AMP for WP - Accelerated Mobile Pages] Related PostsSomething else I noticed in the Related Posts issue, was that if you enable ‘In-Content Related Posts’, it also enables posts for Custom Post Types, making them look stupid.
This is why I’ve now disabled ‘In Content Related Posts’.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [AMP for WP - Accelerated Mobile Pages] Website Slower on AMP?Website used for testing:
https://www.thinkwithgoogle.com/intl/en-gb/feature/testmysite/
Full page screenshot of MY website tested on Google Mobile Speed Test, WITHOUT AMP activated and just using a responsive variant:
https://www.midlandsmaidens.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/screencapture-thinkwithgoogle-intl-en-gb-feature-testmysite-2020-01-04-14_17_11.png
Full page screenshot of MY website tested on Google Mobile Speed Test, WITH Amp activated and using full AMP technology to bring my mobile speed down to a minimum compared to WordPress responsive themes:

…and as you can see quite clearly, the AMP version takes longer to load than the responsive mobile version.

In reply to: [AMP for WP - Accelerated Mobile Pages] Website Slower on AMP?Yes, it’s Google Mobile Speed Test.
Bit of an error on my part, I’d got mobile redirection running on the website which has now been turned off.
The results for my main website are nowPAGE SPEED 2.8 seconds Your current page speed on 4G networks is slow.which as the title suggests is the main website with all of the css and javascript and .webp images.
The results for my AMP vaersion are nowPAGE SPEED 3.6 seconds Your current page speed on 4G networks is slow.which should theoretically be much faster as it runs AMP.
So from the url above, try using midlandsmaidens.com as the original version, and midlandsmaidens.com/amp/ for the AMP version.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [AMP for WP - Accelerated Mobile Pages] Website Slower on AMP?Just checked my source code for the AMP version, and whereas all images on the main website are served as .webp images, they’re all served as .jpg or .png on the AMP version.
Maybe that’s got something to do with it?Forum: Plugins

In reply to: [AMP for WP - Accelerated Mobile Pages] Related PostsOk then I tried a few things out before your analysis:
1) Turned OFF the Recent Posts, but left the Related Posts turned ON, and all posts, related or recent, disappeared.
2) Turned ON Recent Posts Below Related and the Recent Posts came back, but still no Related Posts, which by the way are set to appear randomly, by category, and posted within the last 1000 days.
3) Turned ON ‘In Content Related Posts’ and set them to randomly, by category, and posted within the last 1000 days, to prove that the ‘in content’ works and that there are in fact other posts to be pulled.
I’d suggest going back to an earlier post – say the ‘TV Ads Christmas 2019’ post to see that the only related post in the sidebar is the most present one.
URL for analysis is https://www.midlandsmaidens.com/tv-ads-christmas-2019/amp/Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [AMP for WP - Accelerated Mobile Pages] Website Slower on AMP?For this thread though, Google mobile test for my main website is running at 3.3 secs on a 4G network, which allowing for all of the css and javascript in there is only to be expected.
Your mobile page speed is 3.3 seconds on a 4G connection. The AMP version however is twice the speed at 6.8 secs on the same 4G connection.
PAGE SPEED 6.8 seconds Your current page speed on 4G networks is slow.Forum: Plugins
