In reply to: Support Forum Login Problemsdo you have cookies turned on ?
Happens to me all the time. I’m kinda forgetful.
To me, I see a very thin pale gray rectangle around the name and password entry areas, but I have noticed that sometimes that isn’t there.
So I just click to the right of username until I see a cursor appear.

And I agree on examples. Particularly the options that can be passed.

In reply to: Can’t even ftp the wordpress files to server??I upload from a Win98se desktop to a bsd server. No problems.
You might set ws_ftp, or what ever ftp program you use, to ‘auto detect’ for server type. It may be the server type you pick to upload to is incorrect.

In reply to: Can’t even ftp the wordpress files to server??I used ws_ftp for my site, and it works fine… Hmmm.
Some web hosts, ‘passive’ in the ftp program has to be off, otherwise it wont accept files for upload.
I forget where that is offhand in ws_ftp, but you might check it.
What ever it is set to now, click it to the other setting and try your upload again.
Also, check if the site you are uploading to requires a different format than http://ftp.hostname as some require ftp@hostname
You could also ask them for the ip address of their ftp server. Maybe the name bit isn’t working properly.
wordpress files should have no affect on this.
Does your web server, them not you, have php files blocked from upload ?
I know the web server I use has exe file uploads blocked.
I hope some of that helps.

In reply to: Using Fantastico to upgrade 1.2 to 1.5 (good idea?)I have never been able to figure out how to get fantastico to upgrade anything from a previous version to a newer version. It always wants, on my domain anyway, to install wp 1.2
So I used it to create the wp 1.2 install, the mysql links, database, etc. and then I manually upgraded that to 1.5 using podz’ instructions.

In reply to: list_cats Display in Nested Listhrm, edit is off.
I did check a 1.2.2 blog I use, and it has no options either. Yet it displays the subs under the parent category.
So it must be a change in 1.5

In reply to: list_cats Display in Nested Listmy wp_list_cats has no options. I’m using the Aesthetic theme. I emailed the theme maker, but no response from 3 days ago, must be busy. Or its a 1.5 thing.

In reply to: list_cats Display in Nested ListI have the same problem under 1.5

In reply to: WP 1.5 sub-categories displaying under categories ?any suggestions on how to fix this ?
Or do I have to drop back to 1.2.2 ?
Thanks

In reply to: WP 1.5 sub-categories displaying under categories ?on the admin categories page, the subs do show as being under the main categories.

In reply to: WP 1.5 sub-categories displaying under categories ?weird… pagination isn’t working on the main site. I’ll have to take it out so you can see what I mean.

In reply to: WP 1.5 sub-categories displaying under categories ?when using 1.2.2 and I create a number of sub-categories under each category, they display as sub-categories under the parent category.
I didn’t do anything different for 1.5 when I added the sub- and categories, but the subs don’t appear under the parent category on the list on the main page..
and example of how I thought it was going to look, and the way it does look under 1.2.2, can be seen on a 1.2.2 site of mine:
