In reply to: Blog post titles not showing in Maxine themeDid you double-check any theme options present in the theme’s customizer panel? Your theme styles currently have this blocking the titles:
.home .entry-title { display: none; }Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Error in Child Theme: Website Not DisplayingIf you have a backup of your child theme prior to the changes, you can replace the bad copy on the server with the backup. (Download a copy of the bad one so you can compare the two versions and bring back any stable changes that you had previously made.) Delete the old one before uploading the good one.
If you can’t access your admin pages, you’ll need to use an FTP client (like FileZilla), or your host’s cpanel (or File Manager) and navigate to the files on the server.
In your WP installation there, find
wp-content/themes/'childtheme'and rename the active child-theme’s folder by adding something like-hold, or delete it altogether. That will disable the theme and hopefully allow you to get back into WP admin. WP will use a default WP theme in its place (probably Twentyfifteen).Forum: Fixing WordPress

In reply to: wordpress will not come up – blank screenIf you can’t access your admin pages, you’ll need to use an FTP client (like FileZilla), or your host’s cPanel (or File Manager) and navigate to the plugin on the server.
In your WP installation there, find
wp-content/pluginsand find and delete the problematic plugin’s folder (the one you updated). Hopefully that should allow you to get back into WP admin. Once done, you can try re-installing it. You may want to check the support forum for that plugin before re-installing though, to see if others are having the same trouble. If this isn’t something you’re comfortable doing yourself, your web-host support would probably do this for you, or at least help you set up FTP access. Most of them also have help docs to walk you through how to use both FTP (or SFTP) and their FIle Manager.

In reply to: Duplicate images on my postsBest thing to do is ask about this in the support channel for the Kindred theme. We don’t have access to commercial themes here. The theme authors should be able to get this straightened out for you. Good luck!

In reply to: manally upgrade when original install has not been usedJust thought I’d add that, since your web host is holding on to an old version of WP, it might be a good idea to just make sure their hosting environment meets the minimum requirements (PHP and MySQL versions) for the current (most secure) version of WP to run as smoothly as possible.

In reply to: Floating Publish ButtonTry asking about this in the support forum for the plugin for best results, though its authors only claim it to be compatible up to WP 4.0.5.

In reply to: How To Use My ThemeA well-written theme, once installed into the themes directory of your WP installation, should show up in Appearance > Themes – ready to be activated. Once activated, there are usually ways to configure it to your liking through a customization panel. HTML and CSS should not be necessary to tinker with for a functional site using the theme.
If you’re having trouble with a commercial theme, it’s best to contact the theme’s support channel to figure out what’s missing. Some themes may have a registration requirement or such as an extra step.

In reply to: Envira Gallery is not being disdplayed in Chrome and FirefosSince this is a commercial plugin, the best place for help would be the support forum where it came from. If you’re using the Lite version, the support forum is here. Good luck!

In reply to: Page or Posts? There’s no need to use pages if you haven’t any use for them. They’re most often used for static content (like an about page), in contrast to the more common blog-style content. It’s very common in WP to display your most recent posts as your site’s ‘home page’.
These pages may help clarify the differences for you:

In reply to: Plugin Failure Renders Site InaccessibleIf you can’t access your admin pages, you’ll need to use an FTP client (like FileZilla), or your host’s cPanel (or File Manager) and navigate to the plugins on the server. File Manager is easiest if this is new to you.
In your WP installation there, find
wp-content/pluginsand rename the ‘Social Networks Auto-Poster’ plugin folder by adding ‘-hold’ to the end of the folder’s name. Hopefully that should allow you to get back into WP admin. If this isn’t something you’re comfortable doing yourself, your web-host support would probably do this for you, or at least help you set up FTP access.
