Wanted to Edit Footer; WP? Blue Host?

Hello,

Not very techy or familiar with codes, but I wanted to edit my footer so it does not display “WordPress”. Kept seeing code editing on WP Forums but not sure how to do it. They said to Download WP, and I followed instructions until they suggested to go on BlueHost instead. So now I’m looking at more stuff I don’t understand.

Can anyone help?

I started as a wordpress blog, bought the domain at wordpress also.
