In reply to: ERROR webpage not displayingI’m sorry Alice, but no one here has any access at all to your site. Only you and your web host can get at it. You could try contacting your host (I think it’s BlueHost) to see if they can help you sort this out, or at least disable your plugins and theme for you for troubleshooting purposes.
Since you were able to log in to your admin page with the alternate address above, I still think you should have a go at it. It isn’t too difficult. I’ll describe some of this just in case you want to try.
Log in to admin. In the left menu column go to
Plugins > Installed Plugins. Each plugin has its own ‘deactivate’ link. If you see one called anything similar to ‘password protect’, deactivate it and check your home page. If there’s no such plugin, deactivate them all.
Try to visit your home page. If you can see it, you can start re-activating your plugins one at a time, checking your site each time in between so you can find the one that is the problem.
You may need to clear your browser cookies before you check your home page. There’s usually an option to do that in your browser’s preferences. See this page if you can’t find that.
I’ll stop with that for now, in case you aren’t interested in doing this yourself (which I can certainly understand). Let us know what you think. Otherwise as I said, contact your web host, or failing all of the above you may want to hire someone to help (or find a tech savvy friend).

In reply to: Help with Google MapIs the site using a plugin to generate the map? If so, look for its control panels and documentation for how to go about replacing the old one with the new. Often the map is placed on the page through the use of a shortcode.
It’s very important that WP be kept up to date (and plugins and themes as well). You’ll benefit from newly added functionality of course, but more importantly many of the updates exist mainly as patches for security flaws. Some older versions of WP are easily compromised.
For more information on updating see the page below:
https://codex.wordpress.org/Updating_WordPressPay particular attention to the section on the following page about upgrading across multiple versions if your WP installation is very much out-of-date.

In reply to: Problem with articles in category and subcategory. This is the forum for wordpress.ORG (self-hosted sites), and you seem to need wordpress.COM since your site is hosted there. I’m sure they’ll be happy to help you out in the forums there:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/
It’s very easy to get them confused:

In reply to: Fatal error, can´t enter to my admin pageDon’t worry about the questions (or mistakes!) – that’s why we’re here 🙂
cPanel is an interface and set of tools that many web hosts provide to their customers for doing many different things (such as the above, or setting up mail addresses, making site backups, etc). I think GoDaddy also offers it but I’m not sure. If not, they will have something similar for you.Log into your GD account and have a look around. You could ask them about handling this for you but I have no idea what their support policies are. I’m sure they’ll have some kind of File Manager application that you can use to take care of this. Let us know how it goes.

In reply to: Can anyone help me fix this error? If you have some plugin called Easy Opt Ins (or something similar), look for the support forum for it and inquire there. That would be my best guess for sorting it.

In reply to: Trouble with anchor links and menuDoes the same thing happen if you change the ‘name’ attribute to an ‘id’ attribute instead? The ‘name’ attribute is obsolete in html5 for the anchor element.

In reply to: Add Self-Hosted Site to .Com AccountI think what you mean is that you want to add your self-hosted site to the ‘manage sites’ panel at .com? I’m not at all positive about this but…
Log in to .com and go to ‘My Sites’. Select ‘switch sites’ if one is already selected, and click ‘All My Sites’ and there ‘Insights’. Enter the site you want to add in the search field. Cross fingers. 🙂Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Styleguide gives error after update. What can I do now?I see that you’ve asked in the support forum for plugin. That’s your best bet for feedback on this. Good luck!
