yes! just logged in, updated everything that said it needed updating, changed my password so i won’t forget it again. but it still doesn’t show up when i type the home address into my browser. does it when you try?
I see the same non-standard login that you do. Get logged in as above and try disabling all plugins to see if that clears it up. If not, leave them disabled and switch to the default WP theme and check again. Each time you test, clear your browser cache and cookies first.

hey bill, sorry, but I’m not that savvy. is there anyway that you can do from the backend of WP?
I’m sorry Alice, but no one here has any access at all to your site. Only you and your web host can get at it. You could try contacting your host (I think it’s BlueHost) to see if they can help you sort this out, or at least disable your plugins and theme for you for troubleshooting purposes.
Since you were able to log in to your admin page with the alternate address above, I still think you should have a go at it. It isn’t too difficult. I’ll describe some of this just in case you want to try.
Log in to admin. In the left menu column go to Plugins > Installed Plugins.
Each plugin has its own ‘deactivate’ link. If you see one called anything similar to ‘password protect’, deactivate it and check your home page. If there’s no such plugin, deactivate them all.
Try to visit your home page. If you can see it, you can start re-activating your plugins one at a time, checking your site each time in between so you can find the one that is the problem.
You may need to clear your browser cookies before you check your home page. There’s usually an option to do that in your browser’s preferences. See this page if you can’t find that.
I’ll stop with that for now, in case you aren’t interested in doing this yourself (which I can certainly understand). Let us know what you think. Otherwise as I said, contact your web host, or failing all of the above you may want to hire someone to help (or find a tech savvy friend).
